Concord 5th grader stays up late to interview Democratic candidates

If you or any of your colleagues are planning to attend the Democratic debate at Dartmouthnext Wednesday, look out for a smart young reporter in a bright red shirt! Scholastic News Kid Reporter Hana Knowles will report on the debate from the press file room, where she’ll be writing about the experience for www.scholastic.com/news, as well as collecting questions for the candidates from kids online across the country. After that, she will brave the spin room for some answers.

Hana is a fifth-grader at Beaver Meadow in Concord. She loves to read and is interested in exploring a career as a reporter. Please let me know if you’d like to talk to Hana before or after the debate , or to find out more about what Scholastic is doing to help students learn about the electoral process and what it means to live in a democracy
