Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to Discuss How Hillary Will Restore America’s Leadership in the World
Albright to hold discussions in New Hampshire this Week
MANCHESTER , NH – The New Hampshire for Hillary campaign today announced that former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will campaign in New Hampshire, October 24 – 25 to discuss how Hillary Clinton will restore America’s leadership in the world.
On Wednesday, October 24, Secretary Albright will hold a discussion at St. Anselm College’s Institute of Politics (IOP) and on Thursday, October 25, she will attend a New Hampshire World Affairs Council luncheon at Southern New Hampshire University.
In 1997, Dr. Albright was sworn in as the 64th Secretary of State of the United States. She was the first woman to be appointed to that position and, at that time, was the highest ranking woman in the history of the U.S. government. As Secretary of State, Dr. Albright reinforced America’s alliances, advocated democracy and human rights, and promoted American trade and business, labor, and environmental standards abroad.
Currently, Dr. Albright chairs both the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, and the Pew Global Attitudes Project and serves as president of the Truman Scholarship Foundation.
