Yesterday we surged past our end of September online fundraising goal of 2,500 contributions. We frankly didn't know if we could reach our goal and we did.
At the suggestion of one of our supporters, we then raised the question, could we reach 3,000 contributions by midnight tomorrow?
Will you help us reach this new goal? In the last 48 hours we have had just over 500 first-time contributors, folks like yourself that may have been hesitant to support our campaign but who took a leap of faith. Will you join them now by making your first contribution to our campaign?
Will you contribute $1 (A buck for Huck!), $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, $500 or even $1,000 today?
Whatever the amount you contribute, your participation is what is truly important. Other campaigns are relying on major fundraisers to bring in the dollars, we are relying on supporters like you.
I realize its a leap of faith to make a contribution in support of a politician. I even feel that way myself, and I am a politician!
But very frankly, your financial support before Sunday at midnight is critical.
So I say again, will you contribute $1 (A buck for Huck!), $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, $500 or even $1,000 today?
Let's reach 3,000 today!
As I have said often this week to supporters, we aren't going to raise a bunch of money. What we want to raise is a bunch of support for our ideas. Ames, Iowa proved that we could be outspent and out raised and still turn folks out to the polls.
All of that said, we need to raise a certain level of financial support in order to compete effectively.
With deep gratitude,
