Huckabee Campaign - Co-Sign Our Letter To Fred Thompson

I just concluded an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer and wanted to touch base with you about something important.

On Friday, our campaign sent a letter to Senator Fred Thompson's campaign outlining our similar desire to participate in a series of Lincoln-Douglas styled debates (Senator Thompson had suggested in a Fox News interview that this would be a better format). We officially accepted his offer and suggested we start this series of debates in New Hampshire.

The text of our letter to Senator Thompson is here.

Hours after sending the letter we began asking visitors to our website to co-sign the letter to Fred Thompson. As I type this, almost 200 hundred citizens have enthusiastically endorsed the idea with their signature.

Today I ask you to do the same.

Visit our campaign website and co-sign the letter if you believe that we do indeed need to move beyond the current structure of these presidential debates and get to a more substantive discussion of the issues.

After you co-sign the letter, I encourage you to forward it to your friends, family members and co-workers.

The media is beginning to take notice. In fact during our discussion of the letter in my interview, Wolf Blitzer offered to have CNN host the debate. This is our chance to break things open and get to a deeper, more meaningful debate of the issues.

Now we just need to convince Senator Thompson to accept.

So please co-sign the letter and forward it to your friends, family members and co-workers.

Mike Huckabee
