Excerpts From WSMN Nashua With Jennifer Horn

Jayne Millerick On The Formation Of “Women For McCain” In New Hampshire:

“Today’s a great day … We are putting together a steering committee of wonderfully talented women who are going to be leading the effort to help recruit women in New Hampshire and getting folks involved [in the]primary… Today kicks off what’s going to be a very long process of recruiting women around the state – not just Republicans but Independents who … want to, as the senator says, get involved in something that is greater than their own self interest.” (WSMN 1590, “On The Air With Jennifer Horn,” 6/11/07)

Jayne Millerick On John McCain’s Leadership On Issues Important To Women :

“Two of the top issues that I know a lot of women care about is our nation’s safety as well as reforming Washington and I think on those two issues the senator is leading the way. He obviously is very involved in making sure that our country is put first when it comes to our dealings in Iraq…he certainly has a plan and has not varied from that plan at all. He has the courage to lead right when he hits the ground as president. He’s been a leader in reform issues for 25 years in Washington and has done a lot towards ending pork barrel spending in Washington and ethics reform.” (WSMN 1590, “On The Air With Jennifer Horn,” 6/11/07)

“He does such a wonderful job at [meet-and-greets] because his strength is meeting people and listening to them and getting a sense of what’s on their minds and speaking to them …” (WKXL 1450, “On the CampaignTrail,” 6/11/07)

Jayne Millerick On John McCain’s Straight Talk On The Iraq War:

“John McCain has really given us a lot of straight talk when it comes to [the Iraq War] and when it comes to our nation’s security as a whole. He has the experience and the breadth of knowledge necessary.” (WKXL 1450, “On the Campaign Trail,” 6/11/07)

Jayne Millerick On Cindy McCain:

“[Cindy McCain] is a leader in her own right … She has been on the forefront on a lot of issues as well as making sure she puts her family first and at the same time making sure she’s supporting Senator McCain’s campaign. The leadership of women in the campaign is very important to the Senator and his wife.” (WKXL 1450, “On the Campaign Trail,” 6/11/07)
