To the Editor
Better than fifty % of the Votes that the winner got are a fact. Peter Macdonald was a candidate for elected state office and the newspapers censored the voters from any knowledge of him. Editors have no ethics. Fingers all point at Peter calling him names but he continues to volunteer to help other people. A 100% disabled Veteran and NH does not even see it proper to inform the voters of what this candidates platform is? I am Peter Macdonald and the name-calling started the day I got off the plane returning from a Military Conflict in 74. I was called a baby killer then. The names have changed but the ignorant citizens calling them are viscous but I respect them also.
My family bought 11 acres of land at 101 Stepping Stone Rd Lee NH and gave it to a veteran non-profit to build a church with the mission of helping homeless Combat US Military Veterans. The Church is up and the first homeless disabled veteran is living up stairs in the church at church expense. We broke ground for the second structure yesterday. A religious reading room with all the comforts of a home for the homeless Combat Veteran with the help of God and man find his way back. This church now located on the property has been in existence since 1980 helping homeless veterans on the street almost every day of the year including Christmas. I was not good enough for the editors to tell the voters what my platform consisted of. Even this concession letter the public will not learn about from the news media.
In the Lee selectmen minutes is the fact that the selectmen voted our church did not meet the criteria of religious faith to be recognized in Lee NH. Lee last week took the Veteran Chapel to court under the international plumbers code to have a portable toilet required by the town to get a building permit removed. The town has no ordinance against the toilet only they do require it to build. The rule that they used was totally irrelevant in the court case. The second charge was having a construction sign leaning against a flagpole telling the public what was being built. The third charge was having a trailer owned and registered to the Veteran chapel parked behind the church. The fourth charge was having a volunteer church member spend several nights a week sleeping in the back yard to make sure the disabled homeless veterans could adjust to a new home. She resided in Epping NH and went home several times a week for personal reasons. To tell this citizen that the public must be kept ignorant of your running for elected state office is the biggest blunder any editor can make.
I still even though the Editors censored this candidate got better than fifty percent of the votes that the winner got. Lee Town officials have said “we are a community of professors and UNH support staff and we do not deserve homeless veterans in our neighborhoods.” And the Editorsdo not believe homeless Combat US Military Veterans are worth informing the public about. The news media has censored the public from the court case. The court case is so ridiculous that maybe fact of a town harming Homeless US Military Combat Veterans is the proper thing to do. We can thank the Editors for looking out for us???????
