CrossTarget - Palin Faces Skeptical Republicans in Granite State

ALEXANDRIA, VA  - More than two years prior to the First in the Nation New Hampshire Primary former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin faces skeptical Republican voters in NH’s first congressional district. 

A survey released today shows a 42% plurality saying she shouldn’t run for president, while only 36% believe she should enter the 2010 presidential race.

These findings are based on interviews with five hundred and forty three (543) likely Republican primary voters in NH’s first congressional district. The IVR interviews were completed on December 7^th, 2009. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 4.2%.

 “If Sarah Palin decides to run for President she has serious work to do winning over Republican primary voters in the Granite State,” said Carl Forti, spokesman for CrossTarget.

Please find attached the latest NowHampshire/CrossTarget NH survey. The flash poll was taken on Tuesday October 27th of 620 likely general election voters. The survey has a margin of error of 3.93%.

Our results show that NH residents are in favor of expanding the state’s death penalty to include pre-meditated murder as well as attempted murder of children. In addition, nearly 70% of likely general election voters do not believe the federal stimulus has been successful in creating jobs for NH.
