Guinta For Congress - Guinta Economic Tour Continues As the Economy Shrank in Q1

Team Guinta continued its Middle-Class Economic Recovery Tour yesterday afternoon in Hampton at Foss Manufacturing. At Foss, we witnessed the innovative and pioneering work they do at home and abroad, specializing in nonwoven fabrics and specialty synthetic fibers.

Foss Manufacturing's ability to operate successfully is not only impressive, but also unusual in this economic climate. The United States Commerce Department reported that the economy decreased at an annual rate 1 percent (-1%) in the first quarter, a downward revision from the previously reported .1% growth rate.

Frank Guinta released the following statement:

“Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter has dutifully supported President Obama’s policies for nearly six years, leaving us with a sluggish and under performing economy. As we continue our Economic Tour, we consistently hear that the Congresswoman’s efforts to spend our way into prosperity are not working. America’s middle class is being weighed down by Washington’s oppressive policies. We need to refocus our economic agenda, cut red tape, reduce taxes, and replace ObamaCare with real health care reforms that put the patient in charge rather than D.C. bureaucrats.”

Lambert For Congress - The Obama Economy Is Not Working

Nashua – Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that the U.S. economy contracted by 1% in the 1st Quarter of 2014, marking the first time since 2011 that real economic output declined. In response, former State Senator and 2nd Congressional District candidate Gary Lambert released the following statement:

“Today’s announcement by the Obama Administration confirms what working families all across the country already knew: the Obama economy is not working for the American people,” said Lambert. “After 5 years of so-called ‘economic recovery’ marked by job loss, wage stagnation, and uncertainty, it is clear President Obama and Washington Democrats like Ann Kuster have no clue how to grow our economy. Middle-class families struggling to make it to the 15th and the 30th of the month need a new direction. I urge President Obama to change course, get government out of the way and allow the free market, small businesses, and American entrepreneurship to do what they do best - grow our economy and create jobs.”

Guinta For Congress - Middle-Class Economic Tour Coming to a Town near You!

Team Guinta is announcing the beginning of a new tour this morning that will focus on jobs, the economy and New Hampshire’s middle-class. This Middle-Class Economic Recovery Tour, will focus on distinct geographic and industry specific portions of New Hampshire’s economy.

Specifically, the Tour will address issues surrounding the potential tax increases on the residents in the Great Bay Coalition, the manufacturing sector, North Country small businesses, job training programs, fishing, tourism and more.

Frank Guinta released the following statement:

“In traveling the District, one of the greatest issues of concern on people’s minds is the current state of our stagnant economy. New Hampshire’s workforce is filled with smart, talented, and dynamic innovators who want to grow their businesses, and hire capable Granite Staters. The toxic mix of overspending, overregulating, and underappreciating the American worker is destroying any chance at a true economic recovery. Throughout this tour, I will look to listen to Granite Staters and small business owners to identify and put forth solutions to the job crisis we are facing.”
