GMFRW Boutin Endorsement

Greater Manchester Republican Women Endorse Senate Candidate David Boutin

Manchester – Candidate David Boutin received unanimous approval for an endorsement from the Greater Manchester Federated Republican Women at their meeting Thursday evening, in support of his candidacy for the New Hampshire District 16 Senate seat.  Elections are coming up on Tuesday, February 16, and covers Candia Hooksett, Bow, Dunbarton, and Manchester Wards 1, 2, and 12.

“Representative Boutin has extensive experience in municipal and state affairs”, stated the Board in their recognition of Boutin’s service as a State Representative, a Town Councilor, on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Trustee of Trust Funds for Hooksett, and as a member of the Manchester Regional Economic Development Plan Committee, nine years of service on the Manchester Planning Board, and three years on the Manchester Historic District Commission.  “We are very excited to have someone of his caliber so committed to running for this seat and so committed to serving our community.”

The Greater Manchester Federated Republican Women is a group of men and women who contribute to the community at the local, state, and national levels and is made up of people from all walks of life, including stay-at-home moms, self-employed women, and public officials from all levels.  The GMFRW fosters the education and involvement of women in the political and public service process.  It is one of several such groups across New Hampshire, and is part of a state and national organization.

GMFRW - Republican Women's Group to Host Annual Christmas Party

Manchester, NH – The Greater Manchester Federated Republican Women (GMFRW) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our annual Christmas Party on Thursday, December 10. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary church hall located at 54 Walnut Street in Manchester.

There will be a three course buffet meal with pork, stuffing, rice, and vegetables, and it will also include fruit cups, dessert, salad, and appetizers. Cost is $15 per adult, $7 for children age 7-16, and free for children under the age of 7.

The GMFRW fosters the education and involvement of women and men in the political and public service process, including providing opportunities to become a candidate, greater access to meeting with local and high level candidates, and helping on political campaigns. It is one of several such groups across New Hampshire, and part of a state and national Federation.

Numerous awards will be given out during the party, including the: Bella Duperron Award (exemplary grassroots activism and public service); Frank & Barry Award (leadership and teamwork within the Federation); and Torch Award (Associate Member of the Year). Outgoing NH Federation of Republican Women President Christine Peters will be attending to present the GMFRW with the Silver Award, a national recognition awarded to the GMFRW for local club achievement. New officers for the upcoming term will also be installed during the event.

Though not required, attendees are also encouraged to bring manufacturers coupons to donate to military families and a local food pantry. Campbell’s product labels, clothing, and hygiene products will also be collected and donated locally.

GMFRW - Republican Women's Group to Host Candidates’ Social and Election of Officers at Annual Meeting 

Manchester, NH – The Greater Manchester Federated Republican Women (GMFRW) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a candidates’ social at our Annual meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 20. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Carisbrooke at Manchester function room located at 180 Woodbury Street.

All Republican candidates are welcome to attend. Candidates will be given an opportunity to speak and share information about their individual races and how members can help locally. During the meeting, members will also vote on the slate of officers for the 2010-2011 term.

The GMFRW fosters the education and involvement of women and men in the political and public service process, including providing opportunities to become a candidate, greater access to meeting with local and high level candidates, and helping on political campaigns. It is one of several such groups across New Hampshire, and part of a state and national Federation. The GMFRW was recently recognized by the national Federation when we received an award during the National Convention held this past September.

The meeting is open to all Republicans interested in becoming more involved. There is no cost for the meeting, though donations are encouraged. Families with children are welcome. For direction, questions or to RSVP, please contact club President Kathy Cusson-Cail at gmfrw2008@earthlink.net.
