Guinta For Congress - Governor Benson Endorses Frank Guinta

Endorsements Continue to Roll in for Team Guinta!

This morning, Team Guinta is pleased to release its 21st consecutive weekly endorsement list. Former Governor, nationally recognized entrepreneur, and successful businessman Craig Benson has endorsed Frank Guinta in his race for Congress.

Frank Guinta released this statement:

“Governor Benson knows what it takes to balance budgets, cut red tape, and create jobs. His support is a testament to our core message. Washington is broken, we need to elect people who understand that jobs are created by small businesses and entrepreneurs, not government. Having worked in the private sector, started businesses, been the executive of the State's largest City, I know how to govern and legislate effectively. I am honored to receive Governor Benson’s endorsement and look forward to continuing our Middle-Class Economic Recovery Tour.”

Governor Benson’s endorsement reads as follows:

“I have worked with Frank both in the public sector and as a private business man. He is good at identifying problems and fixing them. As Mayor of Manchester he served the people well by keeping a tight rein on spending and by solving problems both big and small. We need Frank back in Congress and I am proud to support him once again.”

NHDP Statement on Ayotte, Benson, Merrill Endorsing Scott Brown

Concord, NH—Today, the New Hampshire Democratic Party released the following statement in response to news that Scott Brown will be endorsed be a couple of Republicans.

"It's no surprise that Republicans are endorsing Republicans. But it is fitting that Brown was endorsed by a disgraced former Governor like the defeated Craig Benson, another Republican who voters threw out of office after just two years. Republican primary politics don't change the fact that Senator Jeanne Shaheen is the best choice with a record of making a difference for New Hampshire."

NASHUA United States Senator Kelly Ayotte, and former New Hampshire Governors Steve Merrill and Craig Benson endorsed Scott Brown today at Norton's Classic Cafe in Nashua. The endorsements from these New Hampshire leaders are just the latest examples of Republicans across the state uniting behind Brown's candidacy for U.S. Senate.

“Scott understands, and he has stood against Obamacare, which is hurting New Hampshire right now. It is hurting New Hampshire families, it is hurting New Hampshire businesses, and he will vote to repeal and replace Obamacare, making sure that we don’t have a government, Washington-centered solution to the problems and the prices and the costs we see in health care,” said Senator Ayotte at the event today.

“Scott is a proven leader," Senator Ayotte added. "He will get things done for New Hampshire, and we in New Hampshire will have someone that will represent our values, someone that will adhere to fiscal responsibility, limited accountable government, to our Constitution, and to the fundamentals that have made our country great. Working together, I can assure you we’ll put New Hampshire first."

"I am running for the United States Senate to preserve New Hampshire's great way of life," Brown said in his speech. "I will go to Congress and team up with Senator Ayotte to repeal of Obamacare, pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, and get the government off our backs so we can get the economy growing again and create more good-paying jobs."
