NetRight Daily: ObamaCare Makes a Comeback

$2.5 Trillion "ObamaCare" Health Takeover:  Today, the White House released its latest proposal on WhiteHouse.gov. According to the website, "Millions of families will receive hundreds of billions of dollars in tax credits to help them pay for insurance in the new exchanges… The Act also provides financial assistance to reduce out-of-pocket costs for moderate and low-income eligible Americans."

The Coming $1 Trillion Public Pension Crisis:  Last week, the Pew Center on the States reported that "at the end of fiscal year 2008, there was a $1 trillion gap between the $2.35 trillion states and participating localities had set aside to pay for employees' retirement benefits and the $3.35 trillion price tag of those promises."

But Is She Electable:  With recent poll numbers showing that a vast majority of Americans deem Sarah Palin unqualified to be president, liberals are enjoying a state of euphoria they haven't felt since Fidel Castro honored New Yorkers with a visit, culminating in his address to the United Nations.

CHQ - Viguerie disagrees with Palin - Tea Partiers should not join GOP

Here are my tweets for today:
@RichardViguerie   Sarah Palin says Tea Partiers should pick a party. I strongly disagree. That will make it easy for Republicans to control Tea Partiers.

@RichardViguerie   Tea Partiers and traditional conservatives should operate within the 2 major parties pulling them both toward constitutional government.

@RichardViguerie   Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev said-what the Communists control is theirs and we'll fight over the remainder. Reagan had a different idea.

@RichardViguerie   Conservatives abandoned the Democrats to the left but fight over GOP. That hasn't worked well. We should operate in both parties.

The re-establishment of America
American Thinker  - Former Reagan Administration official Herbert Meyer writes that America is about to do something unprecedented:  peacefully replace our entire political establishment.  Meyer surmises that most Americans don't pay close attention to politics and desire to upset the balance only when the political class really messes things up (as they've done) -- but in these times, it's clear to even the uninvolved that things have to change.  The end result, Meyer believes, will be a wholesale changeover of the political establishment that's heretofore unheard of.

Young generation of conservatives using YouTube videos and other alternative media to get the message out

National Review - Mark Steyn praises the musical duo of Dartmouth grads that call themselves the Young Cons. Their new YouTube video, "The Problem," uses hip hop to take Ronald Reagan's message to the Millennial Generation. Judging by the group's growing popularity, the message seems to be resonating with the under 30 crowd.

CHQ - The Tea Party movement is America's Third Great Awakening

Tea parties are a new Great Awakening
Washington Examiner (Glenn Reynolds) -

"This past weekend's National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, Tenn., made it clear that the Tea Party movement is part of something bigger: America's Third Great Awakening.

"America's prior Great Awakenings, in the 18th and 19th centuries, were religious in nature. Unimpressed with self-serving, ossified and often corrupt religious institutions, Americans responded with a bottom-up reassertion of faith and independence.

"This time, it's different. It's not America's churches and seminaries that are in trouble: It's America's politicians and parties. They've grown corrupt, venal and out-of-touch with the values, and the people, whom they're supposed to represent. So the people, once again, are reasserting themselves."
