NH GOP - FACING PRESSURE, SHAHEEN AMENDS DISCLOSURE FORM

Concord - New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Jennifer Horn released the following statement today after Senator Jeanne Shaheen announced that she would amend her personal financial disclosure form to correct errors regarding her shady stock deal. After facing pressure to explain her inconsistent story, a Shaheen spokesman told the Concord Monitor that the information on the form was incorrect and would be altered.

"It's clear that Senator Shaheen provided inaccurate information to the Senate Ethics Committee on her personal financial disclosure form. This error raises questions about a potential conflict of interest involving the Shaheens and their involvement with a company that received federal stimulus funds," said NHGOP Chairman Jennifer Horn. "It's also troubling that these discrepancies were only revealed after the Shaheens faced media security about their questionable finances. "

Brown For US Senate - ICYMI: EAGLE-TRIBUNE: BROWN TOUTS ENERGY POLICY IN WINDHAM

 In Case You Missed It:
"Brown Touts Energy Policy In Windham"

 By Doug Ireland, Eagle-Tribune
June 3, 2014

Brown, launching his “Making Energy Affordable Tour” at the Mammoth Road store, said he would help rein in soaring prices at the pump and put the country on the right track.

“It’s obviously affecting everyone,” he said.

...

Brown also used the Windham visit as an opportunity to criticize Shaheen and what he called her “national energy tax.”

He took Shaheen to task for her support of President Barack Obama and the Affordable Care Act, which he said will lead to higher medical costs for the American public.

“Sen. Shaheen is a nice person,” he said, “but she votes with the president 95 percent to 100 percent of the time.”

He said her support of an amendment to carbon emissions legislation would lead to thousands of job losses and raise gas prices by up to 20 cents a gallon.

Brown said consumers are tired of rising fuel costs, especially as summer approaches and prices tend to rise. That’s after the prices hikes New Hampshire residents had to foot this winter, he said.

...

Supporters at the Windham event included store owner and state Rep. Kevin Waterhouse, R-Windham; Rep. Mary Griffin, R-Windham; Rep. Walter Kolodziej, R-Windham; Rep. Joseph Sweeney, R-Salem; and District 19 state Senate candidate James Foley of Derry.

“He’s a wonderful man,” Griffin said. “We have to get him in there.”
