CHQ - Thank You For Your Efforts! 

Last Friday, ConservativeHQ.com Put Out an Action Alert. . .
to all of its subscribers. The alert was for all readers to immediately call 25 Congressman, urging them to vote against the "Cap and Trade" bill that will cost every American family an estimated $3,000 a year. Despite our best efforts, the bill passed by a vote of 219-211-although 44 Democrats voted AGAINST the bill. However, ConservativeHQ.com wanted to thank all our readers who responded to our action alert and called these Congressmen! Be sure to keep an eye out for our next action alert as this bill makes its way through the Senate.

SEIA - HOUSE PASSES HISTORIC ENERGY-CLIMATE BILL THAT WILL BOOST SOLAR ENERGY

HELP PUT US ECONOMY BACK ON TRACK

 

WASHINGTON, DC – Solar Energy Industries Association President and CEO Rhone Resch released the following statement this evening after the U.S. House of Representatives passed The American Clean Energy and Security Act (H.R. 2454) by a vote of219 to 212:

"Today, the House passed the strongest measure in U.S. history to cut pollution while putting our economy back on track. Congress’ message was clear:It is time to diversify our energy resources and expand clean, pollution-free solar energy in the U.S.


"Congress also sent a clear signal to our financial markets and investors that there will be a premium on zero carbon energy production in the 21st century U.S. economy.

 

"This bill will give more Americans the opportunity to install solar on their homes and businesses,spur deployment of utility-scale solarwhile creating tens of thousands of high-paying domesticjobs and stable careers.


"The House passed bill includes provisions that will significantly brighten solar's future.Including,

 

a renewable energy mandate

 

safeguards to limit global warming pollution damage

 

new authority to get solar energy to markets

 

authority for the federal government to enter 20-year solar contracts

 

“While we are pleased by today’s historic vote, it is only a first step. We look forward to working with the Senate to significantly strengthen their bill so Congress can send President Obama the strongest possible clean energy bill.”
