Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 08:07AM Dear Fellow Republican,
My name is Molly Sanborn and I am a lifelong Republican from Hooksett.
It is with enthusiasm and excitement that I am writing you today to announce my candidacy for chairman of the New Hampshire Young Republicans. After careful thought and consideration, I have decided to throw my hat in the ring because I am confident that I can grow and strengthen this important organization.
As the mother of an infant daughter I understand how important it is that we return strong Republican leadership to Concord and Washington – we cannot make future generations pay the price for a failure to act now. We must strengthen our party and get principled Republicans elected to office.
The New Hampshire Young Republicans will play a critical role in the effort to rebuild our party over the next two years. In order to be successful, the YRs need a chairman who can bring people together to help promote our conservative values and elect Republicans at every level. I have served in the New Hampshire House, my husband Mark & I and are longtime Republican activists, and I am ready to work closely with both party leadership and young professionals across the state.
I believe that I have the experience and the knowledge to help grow this organization and lead us toward becoming a vibrant and influential group in New Hampshire politics. I look forward to working closely with all of you and I am asking for your vote as Chairman of the New Hampshire Young Republicans.
Sincerely,
Molly

Lisa Stickan, the Chairman of the Young Republican National Federation made the following statement in response to the Republican National Committee's Growth and Opportunity Project:
The RNC has done an outstanding job laying out the challenges faced by our party how it operates and building a plan in response to those challenges. I congratulate RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and his committee for producing such an important set of recommendations about the future of our party, and we were glad to participate in the process with the RNC by meeting with staff and submitting findings. The YRNF looks forward to working with the RNC on all aspects of this plan, but several parts are particularly important.
Younger generations are the most diverse in our country. This is demonstrated by the 2012 results in which Mitt Romney won 51% of the white youth vote, but only got 36% of the youth vote overall. Reaching out to young people will mean reaching out to minorities. The YRNF has lead in this area and will continue to lead here as many of our most talented leaders are women and minorities. We look forward to working with the RNC on this through all of its coalitions programs.
In addition, we are pleased to see a year-round commitment to a field program from the RNC. Especially in many urban areas, Young Republican chapters are the most vibrant party organizations, often with many more members than senior party organizations and often producing much more volunteer activity than the senior party organizations. We look forward to sharing our expertise on the ground with RNC staff.
