Gas Prices: A Conspiracy, Or Not?
Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 09:04AM I'm not a conspiracy buff. Not really. Well, I do believe that Jimmy Hoffa was rubbed out by several mobites. And I do think there needs to be more investigation into the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And Roswell? Well, humans can't be the only life form in the universe - - while God might have a great sense of humor, He is also creative.
.
Plus, George Reeves, the best Superman of them all, might have killed himself because he finally figured out he really couldn't fly, OR he might have been murdered because he was showing his man-of-steel abilities to the girlfriend of Hollywood studio bosses (see Hollywoodland!).
.
But 9/11 was a bunch of crazies crashing planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The Bush administration ain't smart enough to cover up any conspiracy on its part. And no matter what the flat-Earth believers say, the 1969 U.S. landing on the Moon was not shot in a studio. I didn't see any wires.
.
Nevertheless, the current lowering of gasoline prices has my conspiracy theorizing at work. Could it just be that within 60 days of the November elections, the price-setting bureaucratic powerbrokers of various oil companies don't want to lose their buddies in Congress?
.
They'd like us to "don't worry, be happy?"
.
Just thinking.

The news media finally has started talking about this, and some have said, yes it is probably linked to the elections, and some others are saying, well Iran is better than we expected, and the BP oil pipe incident in Alaska wasn't that bad.
I seem to think, GW, just picked up the phone and called his friends in big oil and said, I am in a pickle here, no one is trusting me, and it seems we might loose alot of elections. Please help! It is time we all stood up and say, shame on you, GW, for thinking us little folks would keep believing you!
Oil is a globally priced commodity. Net of taxes, transportation and government subsidies, the price of oil here is EXACTLY the sale price it is in China, Jordan, England or any other country.
