House Site To Feature Attendance For All Reps

The House clerk informs me that due to a great amount of interst, attendance scores for all 400 State Reps will soon be posted on the House web site.  I had posted some of them here last week, but they were not available electronically leading some to wonder why not.

Give it a few days and you should be able to find scores for all 400 on the state site.  The number of perfect 100 scores is currently at 100.   I got a 99.  Soon, I'll be posting a composite of attendance/HRA/Liberty scores for all Manchester Reps and selected House "leaders".  In other words, there's a maximum of 300 points.  I'm not listing just the highest scoring, but the highest scorer I could find was Carol McGuire of Epsom,

This is the kind of information that will be available only here.  The attendance scores, however, will be posted on the House site.

It's a bit confusing because the attendance percentages for 2011 and 2012 are noted separately.  The Liberty Alliance scores are separate for each of the two years, but the House Republican Alliance has combined the two years into one score.

If you know of an other ratings, including those from more liberal groups, let me know.

I was reading your earlier post on attendance records and I was surprised to see that you posted that Rep. David Bates will not be running for re-election. I had not seen any news about this and a Google search today turned up nothing. As recently as June 1, you discussed on this blog Bates's re-election prospects after redistricting. Has he made an announcement in the last few weeks and did he say why he was bowing out? Obviously, if this is true, I am happy to see him go. Although he had a perfect attendance record, in his case he would have served the state better by going fishing.

Also, how about an update on your own decision about running? You were undecided a few months ago, but I think you will (and should) run again.

The Secretary of State`s web site has a listing for all candidates for all offices in the State. David Bates was somewhat of a surprise, but there were rumors he was bowing out.

As I explained here, I filed to run for State Rep again; I had ever so briefly toyed with the idea of running for Senate, but Gail Barry agreed to do that, so I didn`t have to. If District 18 (Manchester wards 5-9 and Litchfield) has been left with Lambert the only R running, I would have felt obligated to run for that. I have a primay for the first time ever, but as of now, I`m not planning to do very much campaigning. I wouldn`t be terribly upset were I to lose. Maybe then I`d be forced to get a real job...maybe some newspaper would hire me....that`s how I began my career fresh out of college.

If I win, of course I will feel obligated to serve completely...unlike one of my opponents who missed more than 75 percent of votes this year It`s amazing that somebody like that would have the gall to even sign up again--Tom Katsiantonis and his brother George is the same way! I guess they get an all expense paid trip to Greece if they are elected...no wonder Greece is such a basket case!

Glad that you are running! As for Bates, why am I not surprised that he didn't even bother issuing a statement explaining his decision to his constituents? That guy is like school on Sunday - no class.

Have the attendance records for House members been posted on the State website yet? I haven't been able to locate it.
