Death by Firing Squad

Once in a while along comes a bill that makes you say hmmm, HB37 is one of those bills.

Here's the analysis of the bill:

"This bill provides for death by firing squad for causing the death of another by the use of a firearm, while engaged in the commission of a felony."

This bill was put up by State Rep Delmar Burridge, a Democrat from Keene who's been rated as a constitutional threat by the NH Liberty Alliance.

Personally I'm all for the death penalty and expanding it to include anyone who commits any form of murder (note murder is far different then killing in self defense) but why specify death by firing squad?  Seems to me there is an alternative motive here.
