In Wal-Mart we Trust

I'm a sceptic by nature, although I love good conspiracy theories and ghost stories (I live in a house that is "documented" as a haunted house).  When I watch movies such as anything by Moore, the various 9-11 conspiracy theory movies etc I question everything.  Sometimes my curiosity ruins the fun of the mystery of acts such as Chris Angel.  After all when your able to spot the window being slid up into the wall reveling a cut away section it isn't as shocking to see him walk through it (sorry for the spoiler but I'm no magician so I have no qualms about giving away the mystery).

This week however I watched the movie Freedom to Fascism by Aaron Russo (Trading Places, The Rose).  Among other things the movie questions whether or not their is a law requiring you to pay a federal income tax which has been discussed here previously in relation to the Browns.  One of the other issues brought up in the movie is the Federal Reserve, a corporation that controls this countries money.  Yes you read that right, a corporation.

That shocked me and I couldn't believe it so I started doing a little research of my own.

For starters the Federal Reserve it turns out IS truly a corporation.  It was incorporated in 1914, empowered by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.  It is controlled completely outside the control of the government by a group of national banks.

President Garfield  pointed out the problem with something like this when he said "It must be realized that whoever controls the volume of money in any country is absolutely master of all industry commerce."

Now if you want to dive into conspiracy theories a little let's jump ahead in history to the presidency of John Kennedy.  Kennedy saw the problem with the Federal Reserve and tried to eliminate it.  He understood that constitutionally the US Government alone has the power to issue currency.

Article 1 Section 8: To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures;

Based on this Kennedy had the US Government print $4 billion dollars cutting deeply into the profits of the Federal Reserve corporation (Executive Order 11110).  If he continued he could have legally had the money printed to buy the US out of dept with interest free money, could that be what led to his assassination?  After all why should be borrow money from a corporation leading to greater and greater national dept when the government has the power to simply print its own money debt free?  And just ten days before his murder he wrote "The high office of the President has been used to foment a plot to destroy the Americans freedom and before I leave office I must inform the Citizen of his plight."

This year Congressman Ron Paul put up a bill to attempt to do what John Kennedy was unable to accomplish due to his untimely death.  HR 2755 would abolish the Federal Reserve and repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 taking the control of the nations money out of the hands of a corporation and put it back into the hands of the Government (i.e. the people).  I would only hope that the two congress persons from NH would support the JFK legacy and support this bill.  I will be following the progress of it and I will report back on their actions.

Getting back to the great Federal Reserve conspiracy, if you would like to look further into this matter yourselves I suggest downloading Freedom to Fascism and watching it (it is a free download) or go to your local library and borrow the book The Creature from Jekyll Island, which ironically predicted down to the letter what would happen if Saddam was overthrown.

Americans instead of concerning themselves with the real issues such as this one continue to bicker about the portions of politics in which there is no real difference between the parties (although either side is convinced that there is).  Torture... both Bush and Clinton supported it, only difference there is Bush had our troops do it while Clinton took money from our wallets and paid other countries to do it for us.  Corruption... Scooter Libby or Marc Rich take your pick.  Destruction of our privacy... Wire tapping to protect us from terrorists after 9/11 or Clinton's executive order 12949 which gave the power to wiretap and perform physical searches "without a court order".  Etc etc etc.  There is no real difference between parties on the federal level when it comes to taking away our freedom.  The sooner Americans realize that and begin working together to restore this great nation to what it once was pushing our reps to support freedom restoring bills such as HR 2755 regardless of which party they are associated with the sooner many of the problems we face today will begin to disappear.

LOL! Richard, I originally glanced over this article's title thinking it was another tirade against Wal-Mart. I am sorry about that because this is the whole story about the last hundred years.
When you break the story of the Federal Reserve out to the policies of American banks more beholden to the federal Reserve than to us, and then to our intelligence community, more beholden to the banks than to us, and to the multinational corporations more beholden to the whims of the FED than to the dictates of the electorate you see where we are in history. Privatized tyranny.

You can call it the military industrial complex, but that just means you don't understand it. You can call it the CIA, the NSA, you can call it terrorism, or you can call it the global arms trade, wage slavery, etc. But what you are really talking about is the FED.

And no, the CIA did not kill JFK. Sure, every logical assumption points to it. But the CIA didn't kill JFK because I don't want to believe it. I am not prepared to deal with the consequences of that belief.

That's the only reason I don't believe it.

PS: I read the Creature from Jeykll Island. I hope someone takes that information and that theme and builds on it. Although it was a good book I think it could have been done so much better.

"I originally glanced over this article's title thinking it was another tirade against Wal-Mart"

Yeah I had a hard time coming up with a titled I liked. I'll leave the tirades against Wal-Mart to Andy.

"Torture... both Bush and Clinton supported it, only difference there is Bush had our troops do it while Clinton took money from our wallets and paid other countries to do it for us."

Actually, Clinton used the US military to blast over loudspeakers, the killing of rabbits, and Nancy Sinatra tunes as an effective form of torture. He used these disturbing sounds as well as flashing lights aimed at a ramshacle builing 24/7 for weeks against women and children in Waco Texas - before they were murdered.

On American soil.

The Bushes and the Clintons are two sides of the same coin.

Dave:

Almost, but not quite.

George Bush doesn't have a talent for sexually assaulting women. And Bush's supporters would not stand for it if he did. That is one glaring distinction.

Washington runs itself now no matter who is in charge. We have a spending machine that too many people derive their income from and until the day it colapses no president can do much but ride along for the ego trip.

I will soon have my hands on The Creature from Jekyll Island, and will spread the word if I like it. (An extra web page came up for confirmation when I put this on hold at the library, and the library claims it has no such page.)

I confess I was very surprised at the very positive response that abolishing the federal reserve got at recent Ron Paul events.
