The Truth Comes Out You Should Pay More in Taxes

From the Concord Monitor article found HERE State Rep Derek Owen, a democrat from Hopkinton confessed a little too honestly in the following statement:

State Rep. Derek Owen, also a Hopkinton Democrat, would like to see an income tax and hopes the warrant article frees legislators to consider one. "We've got to stop putting the cost of the state, including education, on the backs of the poor and middle class," Owen said. "We've got to get the well-to-do to contribute more than their share."

Wealth redistribution or in other words socialism!

Folks, if you and or your spouse work and own your own home chances are YOU are the "well to do" that he's talking about.  According the the NH Office of Energy and Planning, for 2000 the average household NH income was $57,575.  Those of you with a household income more then that are well to do, clearly you need to pay MORE in taxes.

If I have to pay anymore taxes. I won't even be able to afford to grocery shop at Walmart anymore....I'll probably need food-stamps... Oh right, that's their point...

Take my hard earned money from me then give it back to me through welfare only after they take their cut..

Sick, sick, sick.

Rosie, don't you understand, they are smarter then you and I and clearly they know how better to spend our money on what is best for us then we do. Besides we need to make sure everything is "fair".

No one takes Derek Owen seriously. He looks like a clown at the state house with his "Farm Here Forever" hat on. He also lives in one of the most well-to-do town in the state. I'm sure his electorate (Gov. Lynch included) will be happy to hear that he supports sticking higher taxes to them. How about this Rep. Owen - how about you and your "well to do" friends volunteer to contribute more to the nanny state while the rest of us continue with business as ususal.

This guy is representative of most of the democrats elected to the State House in the last election. If the people of this State don't give a hoot about how this State is being destroyed by people like this, then they get what they deserve.

For the rest of us, be afraid, be very afraid!
