Hiding From Public View

There is a growing trend with NH Democrats, they continue to seek ways to avoid discussing where they stand on issues and continue to attempt to silence discussions that would highlight  their views that conflict with the public interests.  If it were merely one person in the Democratic party doing this I'd say they personally were at fault but it goes much further then one person.  It's a concerted effort by the entire party.

Could it be that they realize the public doesn't support their stances on the issues and they can't win running on their true views?

I present to you, my readers, the following evidence:

Their refusal to openly discuss idea, hiding from questioning, and seeking to prevent discussions of issues they are clearly on the wrong side of should be a huge red flag to most voters.  Ask questions and demand answers of those running for office and send a strong message to those who support this type of behavior preventing voters from knowing who or what they are really voting for... vote them out!

Richard,

Good entry.

I think that the behavioral patterns of those individuals who refuse to engage in substantive debate and constantly and predictably resort to personal attacks and rhetoric are a microcosm of what you describe here.

It really is a very serious problem for honesty to have such a contempt for being challenged.

The most startling image for myself personally was the refusal of those young people outside the democrat office with those nervous grins refusing to look at the cameraman. Refusing to give a reason, even if they would have had to think of one themselves. And the way the boy on the far right of the Shaheen sign kept looking to the boy at the far left of the sign, as though he were waiting for orders via body language.

It's really frightening.

And when I say frightening, I don't mean I'm scared. I'm not being fear mongered in any way.

I'm saying, in the big picture, having studied up on history and recognizing the slippery slope into fascism as a political ideology and socialism as an economical ideology, I see how close we are that the two are nearly one. The video of the democratic party office opening showed me what a blatant contempt was had for an individual of a differing political persuasion. That these human beings of a differing political ideology could divorce themselves from the commonality which is a shared species with the cameraman, and act in a most peculiar manner indeed. That is what frightens me. The change in behavior to that which I do not recognize as normal human behavior.
