Itse-ssential

Dan Itse held one of several planned seminars on the New Hampshire Constitution last night at The Draft in Concord. I would say that this is an opportunity you should not pass up. Anyone who wants to know more about their state constitution--and I'd suggest that this include everyone--needs to find a way to get to one of the future events.
I'd also suggest that they videotape them so they can be edited, distributed, sold, auctioned off, given away, or played in every classroom and on every cable access channel in the state. (Or all of the above)
I think everyone can agree that at some point in their lives, maybe more often that you really think about it, you wonder what it is exactly that is wrong with government. Well the answer is actually very simple. They stopped following the constitution. They have over complicated the relationship between government and the people for the sole purpose of shifting the source of power away from you and into government.
But at the end of the day, the constitution does not afford them the powers they have absconded, so you still have the opportunity to take them back. But to do that you must first understand what you have lost, why it was so valuable, and who you need to represent you to regain those freedoms. Hopefully a schedule will be forthcoming so that the people of the Granite State can avail themselves of Rep Itse's knowledge of the document and the history.
Itse-ssenntial that you understand this relationship and that the NH constitution is not just a shield but a weapon against every form of heavy handed government--both local, state, and federal.
As dates become available, I'll gladly post them here.

And how exactly would you propose to do this?
I used to see these type of individuals like Rep. Itse touting liberty and the consitution. I'll ask the question again how exactly do you propose to do this? And how would this serve anything in New Hampshire?
I think this is good cocktail conversation. And some individuals and legislators like Rep. Ilse have too much time on their hands.
Instead of meetings and seminars why don't you do something really productive with your time and experience. Examples might include teaching a whole semester (free of charge) at a place like the NH Tech or even better a NH High School.
I'm confident you won't do this. Its much easier to stand on sidelines and critisize than it is do do some real work.
Please please please
How can you restore the Constitution if you don't know what is in it. You need your ammunition first.
Don't worry, Rep Itse has been doing a lot of good things, it's the Dem obstructionists and anti-freedom Reps that violated their oath when they killed HR 6.
But then again, that's their job, as determined by their masters.
