Kill that Tax

Liberals like to tell people that conservatives don't like progress.  That our mission is to stop change.  They call us the party of no.  But conservatives love progress, and we love change.  We just happen to think free American's are better at deciding what progress and change is for themselves and their own communities.  We trust their judgement to make those decisions without a bunch of expensive committees and professional politicians hundreds or even thousands of miles away from your particular problem.

But to do that, we have to keep the government from robbing people of their earnings, and from denying them their choices, and from removing their ability to change their own lives and their own government through their own hard work, when they believe it no longer serves their needs.

We just want you to have more freedom to decide for yourselves.  So we say no to big government, and yes to you and your personal freedom.

Liberals don't trust you with your own money.  They don't think you'll spend it on the right things, the things they want.   And they don't trust you to run your own government.  They won't be content until they can make any decision they want without your interference.  So everything they do, every law they make, removes a little more from your pocket, and gives a little bit more decision making power to the government--their government.

You see it in every piece of legislation coming through Washington.  You see it in the money and power grabs right here in New Hampshire.  Irresponsible spending that can only be paid for by more or newer taxes.  Taxes that will require a smaller professional legislature of paid politicians.

Where in that formula do you find yourself with more of your hard earned money, and more influence over your government?  You can't because the point of all the spending was to deny you first your purchasing power, and to then deny you your influence over government and how it uses the money it stole from you.

The more money the government spends the more responsibility it will claim it has to the taxpayer, the more government they will need for regulationand oversight to protect how your money is spent.  Thatwill mean more taxes and more government, it's an unending cycle. There is no end to the spending.  And the only way theycan pay for it is by taking more and more money away from you and your family.

Of course if they were so concerned about your money they could have just left it in your wallet.  But then they wouldn't be able to control it, and you.  And you might at some point realize that you don't really need them all that much, or their big spending.  And they can't stand that.

So the democrats plan was to spend us into a deficit that only a broad based tax would get us out of.  That was always the plan.  And they'll say anything to make sure that you don't believe it's the truth.  Now you can choose to trust people who spend without concern for how it will get paid, but how many times are you willing to pick up the check for them before you realize you'll always be picking up the check?

Stand up for the kind of progress you decide for yourselves.  Cut out the middle man.  Keep your government small, keep the power and the money local.  Say yes to progress but no to big unresponsive government.

Defend the New Hampshire advantage.  Defend your wallet, and your choices.  Kill the NH democrat income tax.

I would point out that I personally know several Democrats who are staunch income-tax opponents, and Republicans who are staunch income-tax advocates.

Of the latter, there is one less these days -- we ejected Liz Hager.
