A NH Socialist Womens Climate Change Sewing Circle?

Every female New Hampshire legislator has been invited to an event on the morning of December 1stat the Common Man in Concord at 8:45 am.   The event is focused on introducing them to “Sisters on the Planet,” a project of Oxfam International, and Oxfam America.  Curious minds might ask, who are they?

Oxfam America is part of a confederation of 12 participating arms of the international organization Oxfam International.  Oxfam America should best be known for signing on to a November 1st 2001 document characterizing the 9/11 attacks as a legal matter to be addressed in courtrooms rather than by military means.  Ascribing the hijackers' rage to alleged American injustices against which they sought to strike a blow, this document explained that "security and justice are mutually reinforcing goals that ultimately depend upon the promotion of all human rights for all people," and called on the United States "to promote fundamental rights around the world."

In short, according to Oxfam at least, it was our fault, and we deserved it.  Nice sponsors.

Oxfam has a great web site, and makes lots of claims about its goals, but it's actions and affilitations give away its core mission.  (Not that Sisters on the planets global warming scam is not a give away).  It is about social justice and anti globalization.  They are serial Isreal bashers ignoring Palestinian terrorist violence while condemning Isreal when it defends itself.  Oxfam is also a member of the One World Network, a global umbrella organization of some 1500 left wing groups that seek "to promote sustainable development, social justice, and human rights."

Now the invitation to NH Women says that this is a VIP reception..

“to discuss the disproportionate impacts of climate change on women living in developing communities and the ways you can get involved.”

But is that something you really want to get involved in given these kinds of postions?   Sisters on the Planet is little more than the womens club recruiting arm of Oxfam International, funded by and affiliated with a global action network committed to slowing the spread of free market and capitalist principles and policies to protect and advance the class leveling theories of Marx and Engels.  Marx and Engels after all invented ‘social justice’ as a means to pry their way into the only form of government from which total equality and justice can (in their minds) be assured--the totalitarian socialist state.

As long as free market capitalism offers the opportunity to succeed, as long as one person is at risk of prosperity in excess of any other, Social justice can never be achieved.

Barack Obama’s agenda to socialize health, energy, to make everyone share the wealth, to take over industry and dismantle or neuter it, is itself a socialist agenda rooted in the idea of social justice.  Control is paramount to equality for Obama because unless you can define it and run it, it's not justice.  His is the hopey-changey warm and fuzzy variety.  But notice how upset they get when people get in their way or don't toe the "party" line?  That’s the dark side of seeking social justice .  That's the kind history has demonstrated for us repeatedly.  Sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make a socialist state.  But before that, there's the soft sell.

So Oxfam International and all its arms, including “Sisters on the Planet” (which rolls in the eco-socialist attraction of conservation and action to protect impoverished women and their social justice) are all part and parcel to this multi NGO international, multi national movement.

So if you happen to be a woman in New Hampshire, a legislator who has been invited to the event, don’t feel bad if your attendance is misconstrued as a passive acceptance of a global socialist agenda.

By the way three of the hosts of the event are Senate President Sylvia Larsen, House Speaker Terri Norelli, and Senator Maggie Hassan.   And did they not know that global warming was a scam? The wheels are coming off that bus

Anyway one final note:  Someone should make a point of being outside The Common Man on December 1st with a camera.  (The event starts at 8:45 and runs until 10am) See which socilaists show up.

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Das vedanya do novy streytch!

LOL!!! I think you meant "It is about social justice and globalization" not anti-globalization...

Anyway, they must be limited to watching the water-carrying-for-the-big- corporate- globalists-media, you know, Rachel Madcow, etc and they haven't heard about the climategate hoax... nope not yet. And of course were never smart enough to figure out that it was bogus in the first place!

They'll be relegated to the flat earth society, sort of like that failing bankrupt dead-tree media the Boston Globe...

http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/green/greenblog/2009/11/boston_faces_deep_risk_from_se.html

Apparently they haven't heard that IPCC and Al Gore will soon be jailed for the most massive scandal every perped on the American public... Hahahaa. The Globbies must not read the 'real' papers?

You know, I am thinking I am loving those Russian hackers.... :-) they may just have saved us from the tax for 'global governance' by the moonbats at the UN.

And yes photos would be great -- then we can photoshop in some tin foil hats to complete the effect....

:-)

Or how about polar bears? I hear Polar bears are the wallpaper of choice for social justice activists these days.

btw-it's a weird subject. The anti-gloablaists seem to be anti free market globalization but pro social justice globalization.

I read an attack on Oxfam by a harder line anti globalist (globalist) for their not being left enough. Oxfam had the nerve to suggest that some WTO focused free trade might actually be good for the anti-poverty social justice cause. And I suppose if you want to redistribute other peoples stuff, greasing the rails makes some sense. But it pissed of the hard core people. They are having none of that.

NH,unfortunately for us,the freaks that brought us GW hysteria will simply ignore the release of these documents. The MSM will embargo the stories that would reveal this scam.

Also,it's not about the truth with these people. They have invested too much to let this go.They will become more shrill if any of this starts gaining traction.

You just need to look at what is happening with ACORN.The amount of fraud and scandal that is associated with these people is beyond the pale, and yet, they're still here. The MSM has chosen to live or die with this administration. They will ignore/cover up whatever stories would shed light on thier agenda. We have had to rely on two twenty something amateur reporters to uncover what we know about this organization. The MSM should be embarrassed, but they are not, they are simply circling the wagons.

As far as the lovely ladies in your post, would'nt it be nice to see freedom loving protesters show up to rain on thier parade?Oh,and to also show those that attend that we know who they are,and who they are associating with.

Tim, you read our minds. Bill Clinton is coming on Dec 3, so start making your signs now and you can reuse them!

Sisterhood of the Moonbats, I like that, yeah.

Come on now guys. Not so hard on women who can not think for themselves.

I know a few and they are really nice people. There is just a disconnect between reality and feelings.

Just because they happen to be State Representatives is no reason to make fun of their shortcomings.

But it will be a sensible thing for NH citizens to know which moonbats showed up for the OXSCAM Delphi Fest.
November 25, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterEd Naile
You must understand there are TWO elements of moonbattery here: first is the misguided idea that humans are causing the climate to change and second, certain victims, in this case women, are subject to its damaging effects even moreso than an ordinary person.

It's really funny and pathetic and rather sad too. But it's what we've come to expect from these fakers... all of them.

Control the medical care, the energy intake, the profits, and where people can live, brainwash the children to turn their allegiance to the state, and eventually all will be surrendered to the managed utopian society.

No, I'm a college drop out. Sorry.
November 29, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterChaz Proulx
Chaz, yes it's often your mindless ideology over our common sense intellect. You work on nothing but 'feelings' and dogma that can't be confused by the facts.

Our 'ideology' is basic = freedom FROM government as protected by the Constitution.

As the climate hoaxing scientists plotted, they realized that when their bogus facts were not going to be enough to get people in their camp, they would indeed have to appeal to feelings, even if it meant using fraudulent photos of polar bears clinging to ice floes, etc.

Using children is not beneath them either.

Falling for big government propaganda and classes of 'victims' is "ideology", protecting oneself against it is self-preservation and freedom. And true independent thinking and intellect.

Being an "intellectual" is a misnomer and definitely not a compliment when a applied to the left.

NH

Legitimate climate change arguments are based on scientific methodology. There is no room for any ideology in rigorous science.

I teach skiing in winter and know a little about the corporate end of the ski industry. The multi billion dollar investment industry that finances ski expansion is now very concerned about the risks to their investments due to climate change. These investors are basing their concerns on science--not my views or yours. They wouldn't waste their time, if they thought this was a hoax.

Sorry to pop your balloon.

"Using children is not beneath them either"

NH,using children for political gain is as natural to them as lying.Global Warming is the perfect example. The scientists behind this charade got caught lying about/fudging thier data.At first it was all denial, you know, nothing to see here. Then they say they will release the data that proves GW.Oops, about that data, the dog ate it!

And these retards expect us to believe they would dispose of data that would prove the earth will be destroyed in a matter of decades because they did'nt have enough storage space?

Unfortunately for the people who don't believe in GW,the ones that do have turned it into a religion. They become hysterical at the mere mention that GW is a hoax. They will fight this to thier death because if not, they will be laughed at for the idiots that they are.

We all know how much liberals love thier liars.Bill Clinton was elevated to liberal hero on his uncanny ability to lie every time he opened his mouth.Liberals loved this. They admired it.They re-elected him because of it.

Bambi is quickly approaching this ability and with cover from the MSM he will get away with telling as big a lie as he wishes.Like saying we need to get the budget under control after spending more money than any other Administration in history. He should have been laughed right out of the room, but instead he was probably met with ooh's and aahh's as the reporters were wiping the drool from thier mouths.
November 30, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterTim Oliver
Wow,you can't make this shit up!

"I teach skiing in winter" and that makes me an expert climatologist, I tell ya.

And according to me and my ski lodge buddies the record snow falls and cold we have had the last few years indicate we are heading for global warming,I mean climate change, yea thats the ticket. So all you uneducated boobs should just shut up and do what we say.

Whats that? You want to see proof before we turn the world up side down?Like I said, shut up already.

Good answer to a quote I never made and omit the points I didn make about investors.

Is that how you "win" intellectual debates?

If you take any personal pride in that, then God bless you.

We all want you to feel good about yourself. After all that's the most important thing--right?

Also

Using children for political gain is an old right wing trick. I once observed (in person) a group of middleschoolers being prepped by Cornerstone for an appearance in front of the NH Legislature. This was in the office that they shared with the Coalition of NH Taxpayers. I had "dropped in" to chat with John Reagan.

I can't remember the issue, but I think it was abortion related. These kids were being told what to say. I thought it was a bit tawdry at the time, but I never wrote about it out of a sense of fairness.

But your attacks deserve the truth, and that's what you'll get.

So now you know.

Concern for American West

Fears of global warming chill lucrative ski industry

By BROCK VERGAKIS - Associated Press

Published Sunday, November 29, 2009

Buzz up!SALT LAKE CITY - Ski resorts across the country are using the Thanksgiving weekend to jump start their winter seasons, but with every passing year comes a frightening realization: If global temperatures continue to rise, fewer and fewer resorts will be able to open for the traditional beginning of ski season.

http://images.morris.com/images/athens/mdControlled/cms/2009/11/29/530002762.jpg File/Ap The United States' Angeli VanLaanen performs during a final run of the ladies freestyle World Cup ski halfpipe competition in Park City, Utah, in January.
File/ApThe United States' Angeli VanLaanen performs during a final run of the ladies freestyle World Cup ski halfpipe competition in Park City, Utah, in January. Warmer temperatures at night are making it more difficult to make snow and the snow that falls naturally is melting earlier in the spring.

In few places is this a bigger concern than the American West, where skiing is one of the most lucrative segments of the tourism industry and often the only reason many people visit cash-strapped states like Utah during winter.

But even as world leaders descend on Copenhagen next month to figure out a way to reduce carbon emissions blamed in global warming, the industry is still grappling with leaders in some of their own ski-crazy states who refuse to concede that humans have any impact on climate change.

Chief among them is Republican Utah Gov. Gary Herbert, who says he will host what he calls the first "legitimate debate" about man's role in climate change in the spring.

While the world's leading scientific organizations agree the debate was settled long ago, the former Realtor who took office when Jon Huntsman resigned to become U.S. ambassador to China maintains that it wasn't.

"He's said to me that the jury is out in his mind whether it's man-caused and he thinks and believes that the public jury is still out," said Herbert's environmental adviser, Democrat Ted Wilson.

Herbert's reluctance to acknowledge that greenhouse gases contribute to global warming quietly frustrates Utah ski resorts that depend on state marketing money, but it openly infuriates industry officials elsewhere who liken it to having a debate about whether the world is flat.

"That's just kind of raging ignorance," said Auden Schendler, executive director of sustainability for Aspen (Colo.) Skiing Co. "We're not environmentalists, we're business people. We have studied the hell out of the climate science. To have a neighboring governor not believe it ... It's absurd."

A climate study by the Aspen Global Change Institute is forecasting that if global emissions continue to rise, Aspen will warm 14 degrees by the end of this century, giving it a similar climate to that of Amarillo, Texas.

Many ski companies and the mountain towns they've created have been working to reduce their carbon footprints and advocating for significant policy changes for years. In California, the ski industry was one of the first groups to support legislation requiring the state to reduce greenhouse gases to 1990 emission levels by 2020.

Aspen Skiing Co. is widely recognized as a national leader, but Schendler readily acknowledges that the nation's ski resorts can do little on their own to affect climate change.

He said company resorts like Aspen and Snowmass are at their best when they educate their highly affluent - and politically connected - guests about global warming's effects.

First off,I don't "debate" liberals.Liberals lie way too much to have any kind of intelligent discussion.

Second, put away the drama queen act.You should know that crap does'nt work here.

Typical liberal.Chaz comes to this post and calls everybody a dwarf and when someone responds its called an attack.

As far as your last post, maybe you have heard about this climategate stuff thats going on?You know, the one where they catch the leading proponents of climate change saying they will delete all of thier data(you know, the data that proves the world is going to end in a few decades)before turning it over to be peer reviewed. And lo and behold, the data is gone. Now they have no way of ever proving the models they have are correct.

But thats what scientists do right?Hide thier work.No need to prove it to the peasants, just do what I tell you.The science has been proven, trust me.

And why should'nt we trust these scientists?Because thier liberals. They will lie, without hesitation, to further thier political goals,Thats why.

Steve's column is an open attack. I didn't set the tone here. It's snarky and nasty starting with the title. He's a agit-prop writer and he has every right to do that.

So to set the record straight--I counter attacked.

I have every right to fight fire with fire, facts and context.
December 1, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterChaz Proulx
Yes Chaz, everything said that you don't agree with is an attack on you and everything you believe in.We get it.

And as I said above, let it go.Your victim mentality does'nt work here.

As far as fighting with facts.Do you pay attention to recent events or what?Global warming is a hoax. These so called scientists have refused for years to share thier methodology with the world.Supposedly, even with life on earth in the balance, they decided to treat thier work as if it were state secrets.

Now,cornered like rats,we learn that they disposed of the actual paperwork/methods that they used to come to these cataclysmic conclusions. You know, the actual proof behind thier assertions.

But hey,we should ignore all that, and those e-mails,nothing there either.Nope, these guys still can't predict with any certainty what next months weather will be,yet we're supposed to believe they can predict, with absolute certainty(well, certain enough to destroy our economy, hell our way of life for that matter)what is going to happen in the coming decades and beyond.

As I said earlier, liberals won't stop believing in this. They have invested way too much to just let it go.You guys/girls are emotional creatures. This will be very tough on your psyches. You will not admit to being such dupes. Therefore you will fight it with every fiber, and just become more shrill as the evidence mounts of this gargantuan fraud.

The denial will end only when they see thier heroes being frogmarched to prison.Unfortuately,as long as Democrats are in charge this will never even be investigated criminally.I doubt they will be able to ignore the story all together though.

I'm many things. But "victim" No. You got the wrong guy. I don't just write politics. I participate. I compete. Win some loose some. Not doing badly in the win column lately either.

Steve and I don't agree, but I know he understands the competition on these pages. If I didn't show up you guys would bore each other to death.

But keep whining, there's nothing more useless to the Republican party than a cranky right winger, who stays on the sidelines.

ps Those hacked ( illigally) e mails were cut and pasted to death and still no smoking gun,

A lot of nothing.
December 3, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterChaz Proulx
Well Chaz,If nothing else,I guess I can hang the last two elections around your neck then right? And boy, should you be proud.Since you guys lied your way to the majority in 2006 this country has seen nothing but shocking incompetence.Hell, alot of what you freaks are doing is downright illegal, hello ACORN!

But it really does'nt matter where the country is headed because you guys are in charge, ain't that right Chaz? You should be so proud of supporting totally incompetent assholes that have screwed this country for the next two(maybe more)decades.Maybe you have'nt noticed Chaz, but the vast majority of the American people can't stand politicians. They know what slimy little scumbags they are.But you go right on thinking your doing a bang-up job there buddy. You guys would rather see this country destroyed than returned to it's former prominence.

ps "a lot of nothing" So why did the head liar(Jones)step down if there is "nothing" there. As I said, you flower children will not let the farce that is global warming go.It's the only religion you have.To you true believers,It won't matter what those e-mails reveal. You,being a political operative, should know the truth never stopped you guys before.
