I continue to find it amusing that Mr. Buckley and his democrat majority feel they can pass off responsibility for budget cuts to Republicans. Consider that they have long made it their mission to paint Bush and his supporters—the entire GOP for that matter—as responsible for an entire era of sclerotic wage growth, stagnating economic policy, excessive spending, and irresponsible management. But in the exact same era the NH democrats blew the doors off spending and revenue projections. So let me get this straight. The economy sucked under Bush and you decided to spend revenue you knew you’d never collect in the lousy Bush economy?
How do explain the thinking there? You claim there’s lousy wage growth. You claim businesses are struggling under Bush. You claim that the middle class is suffering. That’s what you guys said. But revenue growth in government is inexorably tied to wage and commerce. So where was the money going to come from?
Any effort to assume more revenue to support spending in direct contradiction to your own rhetoric seems a bit dishonest don’t you think? Haven’t your majority revenue and spending policies actually made it necessary to drive costs down into the towns and the pockets of property owners?
So were you intentionally deceiving us, were you all irresponsible dolts, or did you plan to cripple the state economy so you could demand a broad based tax? (Maybe all three.) Or...was all that crap about Bush and the GOP just BS?
So which is it?
Budgets,
Corruption,
Economy,
NH,
NH Legislation,
NHDP,
Taxes

Why else would they have outside UN money promoting it in town meetings?
