Now and then.

No one is surprised that Democrats continue to lie not just about energy and the environment, but about how much it will hurt. But that's no reason not to continue bringing it up.
Now--The Lie. There are several, but one stands out above the fray. (emphasis mine)
"Just last Friday, the House of Representatives came together to pass an extraordinary piece of legislation that will finally open the door to decreasing our dependence on foreign oil, preventing the worst consequences of climate change, and making clean energy the profitable kind of energy. Thanks to members of Congress who were willing to place America's progress before the usual Washington politics, this bill will create new businesses, new industries, and millions of new jobs, all without imposing untenable new burdens on the American people or America's businesses."--President Barack Obama on the cap and tax bill
Then-The truth (emphasis mine)
**In January 2008, Obama said, "[U]nder my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket ... because I'm capping greenhouse gasses, coal power plants, natural gas ... you name it ... whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retro-fit their operations. That will cost money. ...[T]hey will pass that money on to the consumers."
Seems glaring, considering it was not viewed as detrimental to a campaign for an office from which upon assumption, he lies constantly and at great length, with almost no media attention or scrutiny.
Note: Heritage estimates that in 2012 alone the Hodesheaporter Tax on Everything will cost New Hampshire 659 million in Gross State Product, and a net loss in state wide personal income of 956 million. Subtract 9000 jobs in the state as a result of the burden created by HR2545.
So did anyone tell the democrats in the State Legislature we were on a trajectory to lose that income and commerce? If Heritage is only half right we are in for some serious problems. Does anyone think they really care, or that it would change anything they have done or would do?
One more point. If you'd like to read all 1428 pages of the final draft of HR2454 (The Hodessheaporter tax on Everything) you can see it here.

Time to take America back from the corporate banking cartels who are using this president for their puppet and this country for an ATM machine while he placates the masses with his false promises.
Climate hysteria is nothing but a hoax intended to redistribute the wealth offshore. It is a tax on everyone.
The only people who will gain from it is the bankers, GE, and Al Gore.
The people who will be hurt by it are the poor, middle class, or anyone that uses any sort of energy. Like government health care, it is a powergrab of staggering proportions.
The stimulus, loaded with earmarks and favors for Obama cronies, has not created ONE single job and has quadrupled the deficit. Unemployment is still rising. Spain is at 18% thanks to carbon taxes.
Another war has been started, and the deindustrialization of America has begun.
A corrupt group known as ACORN is taking down names in the politicized census.
Congress is not being allowed opposition input or even time to read the bills they sign, sometimes being threatened with martial law if they don't sign.
Our teleprompter puppet president is on TV at this very moment pitching 'education'.
Education is part of the problem. Children are being brainwashed into global Marxism and not taught the philosophy of liberty upon which this country was founded.
TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK!
Another 473,000 jobs lost TODAY...

"Waxman: "I'd like to ask a question of the gentleman (Mr. Scalise), you've said global warming Gestapo, what does that mean?"
Scalise: It basically is the powers that are vested in the Secretary under Section 201 of this cap and trade energy tax, to go into someone's house, number one to go in, and then charge them.
Waxman: "So if anybody does something you don't like you call them Gestapo? What do you think of the people who run other government agencies, do you think the government is made up of Gestapo?"
Scalise: "I don't think the government should be able to tell somebody if they're living in their home and they're abiding by all the laws that they're an unlawful occupant of their house, that's the terminology of the bill, that's frightening.""
Frightening indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
