Jim Bender 2.0
Friday, March 19, 2010 at 06:28AM
US Senate candidate Jim Bender was back on New Hampshire Taxpayer Radio last night for a continuation of our interview. Despite invitations and overtures he has (so far) been the only US Senate candidate to take us up on the offer. Could he be the only one who sees value in connecting with the grass roots listeners and anti-tax advocates who listen to our program or download the podcasts every week? We've had congressman, governors, and candidates for same, and plenty of presidential hopefuls on the program in past years.
I bet it's those darn staffers. They just don't realize that value.
Whatever the problem may be, we hope to get a few more Senate candidates in the studio but until then, here's our second interview with candidate Jim Bender. If you ake a few minutes to get to know him I think you'll be glad you did.

The question is not what is wrong with the other campaigns, but what is wrong with Jim Bender. (Or you.)
I could really care less if they come on, becasue we've got plenty of other things to talk about.
But how does your formulation work if they were asked, say, repeatedly over several months and never even responded?
Are they the kind of candidates that want to be seen as so busy raising money that they can't take one hour to speak to New Hampshire listeners; listeners who might donate or volunteer for their campaign after hearing them on air?
We are just as happy to talk to them as about them and why they can't be bothered to do an interview.
Governor Huckabee made time for our show and met with us several times.
Dennis Kucinichs's scheduler appeared to have mental problems or he would have been on after I met the Congressman.
Virginia Governor Gilmore was glad to come on as was Congressman Tom Tancredo, Governor Benson several times, Gordon Humphrey, Governor Tommy Thompson, to name few. And my favorite guest - Grover, no last name needed.
I happen to like talking to Jim Bender and I think he is smart enough to know that on WLMW 90.7 and our pod casts you get to hear from a candidate for one solid hour - no commercials, unlike 15 second sound bites on commercial radio. (And our listeners actually VOTE!)
But I thought Raybo duh would have figured that out. No wonder he lost 7 of the last special elections.
This was more or less the point of the post. People vying for other offices that require the voice of the entire state at other levels felt it worth their time to be on our program, yet we find candidates for the US Senate in NH that do not.
Again, I am indifferent to their reasoning. Maybe they think we'll give them the FOX treatment and they can't stand up to that? Maybe they are afraid of entering a church to get to the studio? Or maybe our listenres are too conservative?
Like I said, we can talk to them or about them. If they feel that's a fair exchange, I'm good with that. If they'd like to come in and plug their campaign, that's cool too.
Raybo doesn't READ these blogs. He skims the words for highlights and posts the standard Democrat Moonbat response.
