Colorado Ammo Mag Company says “You Pass that Bill and We’re Gone.”

On Friday, liberal lawmakers in the Colorado state House passed legislation requiring background checks on private gun sales and placing limits on ammo magazines. A final vote may come today before the bills move on to the state Senate. Dems now hold majorities in both chambers and the governor’s mansion is occupied by Democrat John Hickenlooper.

Colorado’s largest and most profitable manufacturer of high-capacity ammunition magazines has vowed to leave the state if lawmakers pass a measure banning the devices — a move officials with the company say could cost hundreds of jobs and upward of $85 million in potential spending this year
Most of Magpul’s materials vendors are in Colorado and it looks like some of them may follow Magpul wherever they go, taking jobs, revenues…all of it with them.
So is Magpul that serious?
Arrogant Democrats here in Colorado have fooled themselves into thinking that companies like Magpul are bluffing. The company fired back last night on Facebook:
We’re hearing some rumors that the Gov and the Dem caucus think we are bluffing. Just to clarify for them, then…we’re not a political company. We don[']t play political games. We’ve made our position very clear, very publicly. We would not survive lying to our customer base, nor would we ever consider it. If you pass this, we will leave, and you will own it. We’ve already got plans in place to get PMAG manufacturing moved rapidly, and the rest of the company will follow. We will make sure to at least have a small remain-behind operation through the 2014 elections so that we can remind folks why we are gone.
Excellent.

The fuel for fighting against President Barack Obama's gun safety efforts really comes from those profiteers who make big money and can pay mega-dollars for their lobbyists and organizations to scare Americans into thinking that bigger, more powerful guns and weapons with a higher capacity firing of bullets are needed to protect them.
All the while putting more money into their own pockets.
At this rate, maybe we won't need the high-capacity defense wear 'cuz they won't sell the offensive version to Uncle Sammy and his underlings anymore. Then we could all go back to smoothbore muskets. Oh what a beautiful world it would be ...

Dog, I see the headlines that some companies are going to refuse to sell guns to the government if they pass any kind of gun control. What a pant load. As with most people, the only thing more important to them than principle is money. Not one of these jokers is going to refuse a big money contract and to say they would is disingenuous.
You may be right; money explains vast majority of behavior of those in Big Biz and Big Gov; hence the popularity of fascism. It will be interesting to see if any are adult enough to be governed by principles of freedom, rather than grovel for handouts from Nanny, Inc. to facilitate her coercive measures for compliance to her will.

First of all. Bwahahahaha. Obama is from Chicago. His idea of gun safety kills hundreds every year. Stop it. We're not stupid college kids staring in awe at your liberal aura through the steam of a latte.
Second. If the accumulation of wealth is of such concern why is it okay for the millionaires who run the government from the richest city in the land--where hundreds of billions get flushed down boondoggle after boondoggle in a wink only to be followed by more of the same with out fear of reciprocity get to run the police state? Where the nearly untouchable get to spend four trillion a year and growing while accumulating and spending another 6 trillion in other peoples wealth hat has not even been created yet?
Want to talk about greed? OMG Mr. Splaine. That is greed. Your beloved benevolent government is the most greedy corrupt thing to show its face in the history of our nation and all it sells in return is promises it can never afford to keep to dopey slobs whose forced participation to the public school system has given them the intellectual agility of a small soap dish. And don't forget the threat of police action against any (regardless of brain power) who refuse to pay into the bottomless greed of the Obama Administration.
