Be Pro-Choice: Vote For The Right To Abort The Union.

The argument the left always falls back on when it comes to abortion policy is that no one is making anyone get an abortion.  What makes this particularly galling is that same people who promote abortion as a choice no one is forced to make are also against abstinence education.  They are therefore promoting the number one cause of unwanted pregnancy.  So sex is encouraged, increasing the odds that a woman might have to make the choice that no one is in theory forcing them in to.

So it should follow that if joining a union was a right like abortion, no one would force you to join and everyone would have the right to choose.  Some liberal justice would have long ago ensconced that "right" into the US Constitution and we would not be having a debate in New Hampshire about the impending Veto Override vote in the NH House.  Workers could just decide if they wanted to abort the union.  But Democrats are hypocrites and choice is not choice, particularly in the workplace.  You will not, cannot be permitted to choose for yourself.  Unions are mandatory.

And of course the left and the unions go to great lengths to whine about adding jobs and livable wages, and workers rights.  Democrats have spent trillions pretending that the Government can actually create jobs.  Union Jobs, that is.   And they are serious about denying you a choice. Democrat Party leaders like Nancy Pelosi have indicated that the Federal government ought to be able to close down companies that are non-union or whose workers will not vote for collective bargaining.  And the Unions, who finance Democrat campaigns with mandatory dues dollars all agree.  So to Democrats the choice about joining a union is not an option.  There is no choice.

This is wrong.

Anyone who is qualified to perform a job should be able to accept it without being forced to pay tribute to union bosses and their partisan agenda.  It is nothing less than a government mandate to pay for a service to a third party, you do not need or want.  And any Republicans who buys into this progressive nonsense or allows themselves to be intimidated by unions to vote no, or into not voting at all, is sending a message that their vote is not about rights, or choice, or freedom, it is about politics and power.  They are in essence promoting or permitting the forced funding of the entire Progressive agenda.

Right to work allows you to abort the union.  No one is making you do that but it at least gives you a choice.  The Democrat party offers no choice; in fact they want to force unionization and mandatory dues (which end up in their campaign coffers) on every business and every industry.  The Democrats and the NLRB are doing everything they can to intimidate industry, to intimidate states, to do whatever it takes to deny you that choice.  That is not good for worker, workers rights, freedom, prosperity, or New Hampshire.

Override the Right to Work Veto in New Hampshire.  Give people the right to choose.

Right to Work Rally Wednesday At The State House

AFP is supporting a Right to Work Rally this Wednesday in Concord.  Gov Huntsman and Governor Perry are also rumored to be somewhere Concord on Wednesday (separately I suspect, though I've not checked their schedules).  If you can, make the time head to the state capitol for what will probably be a pretty rowdy morning.

Here is a message from Corey at Americans For Prosperty with the details.

Dear Friends,

I am writing to ask that you and your members be part of an historic rally and reception at the Statehouse in Concord on Wednesday, November 30 at 8:00 AM.

We will meet in the Café of the Basement for FREE Food and Coffee.

As I am sure you are aware, Speaker Bill O’Brien has called the House into session that day.

This could be the day we have all been waiting for – the day of the Right-To-Work veto override.

While that is not for certain, what we CAN count on is that the unions and other liberal contingencies from across New Hampshire and other states will be present in large numbers at the Statehouse that day in an attempt to intimidate members of the House and influence any possible override vote.

We have to meet them with equal measure! This vote represents the culmination of months of hard work on the part of many to make New Hampshire the first Right-To-Work state in New England. The benefits to our state, our workers and our economy would be numerous.

Unfortunately, after the recent defeat in Ohio the unions are likely to feel more confident than ever that their scare tactics and misinformation campaigns are working!

Please join me in showing the unions and the rest of the country that the wave of supporters who ushered in elected officials last fall who shared our commitment to fiscal responsibility and restraint and economic growth is still alive and well in the Granite State!

The union members, who will be paid to attend, have been pushing our House members around all summer in an attempt to keep New Hampshire workers trapped!

We cannot allow this to continue! We have to be there for all the people who rather than show up at the Statehouse that day will be showing up to their jobs!

I ask that you and all your members join us at the Statehouse on November 30.

In order to ensure an accurate attendance count for the reception and rally, please have your members visit this site to register for this historic event https://nhaction.wufoo.com/forms/rally-for-righttowork/

Be present and be a part of history!

Sincerely,

A Question for NH Democrats & Unions...

(Still no power at my house but I managed to squeek out one post this week)

Union yes - No Pelosi says close non union plantRight to work is all about having the choice to opt out of forced unionization and by extension forced tithing to Labor Union overlords.  The State unions, national unions, and the entire Democrat party apparatus are against allowing anyone that choice.  They are fighting Right to Work in New Hampshire.  But just how far are they willing to go down that road?

Nancy Pelosi, the much beloved former Speaker of the US House, and poster girl for left wing Democrat governance, and who is also against Right to Work, is on the record stating that a Boeing plant in South Carolina needs to go union or the National Labor Relations board should be allowed to close the plant down.

Is this the NH Democrat parties postion as well, and that of the state union, SEA, SEIU, Teamsters and others who are insisting that New Hampshire workers have no right to opt out of paying union dues just to get a job?  Does the Federal government have the right to close a business or a facility in our state, and force those workers out of their employment, simply becasue they are either not unionized or have voted to de-certify the union, as is the case in South Carolina?

I think every worker or prospective worker in New Hampshire needs to know where you stand on this issue. So using Democrat party rules, failing to answer the question or to publicly denounce the Pelosi remarks will be viewed as showing support for them.

Teri Norelli, Sylvia Larson, Kathy Sullivan, Ray Buckley, candidate for Governor Maggie 'The RedWood' Hassan, Carol Shea-Porter and Joann Dowdell (to name but a few)...do Democrats in New Hampshire refute or support Pelosi on this proposition?

And to be fair, let's throw it out to the Republicans who voted against Right To Work In New Hampshire as well.  How far does your support for forced unionization go? Are you willing to stand between the workers and businesses of New Hampshire and the Democrats, Union, and an NLRB that might try to take such steps?

We're waiting for your reply.

Right To Work - "Dear State Legislator"

Good morning,
I realize most of the (Merrimack) town delegation supports right to work but as we approach the override vote I wanted to impart these remarks.  If any business but a union demanded $50.00 every month from every employee, for benefits and used some of that money to finance its mostly one-party political action funding, there would be hell to pay.  Now imagine if they had to pay it or they could not work there?
Who among us would support that?

Unions are just big businesses brokering in the labor of human flesh, permitted to demand tribute for 'benefits' and political action.  If you do not want to pay tribute, you have to look for work someplace else.

And if you choose to work there because you must work, the political intimidation can be repressive, and even scary.  If you wish to work in peace you cannot speak your true political views.

So here we have what amounts to employment discrimination and speech intimidation, and you have to pay for that "privilege?"
Right to work is about open shops and a workers conscientious right to object to what amounts to political extortion to get or keep a job.  We would not permit it from Exxon-Mobil, or Wal-Mart, or anyone else.  Who then can condone it from any other business, even when that business is a union?

Please vote to override the Lynch Veto.

Thank you for your time.

Right To Work Override

If Exxon Mobil demanded $50.00 per month from all its employees, every month, to pay for benefits and it's political action agenda, the left would sh** kittens, protest, threaten, attack, invade, and engage in a well funded, partisan series of lawsuits until the company was forbidden from using that money for any political activity.

Tell me I'm wrong democrat/union hypocrites.

Big unions are a big business and they extort money for their political agenda from every worker.  They do not care what you think or if you object.  They demand it.  They protest in favor of their ability to continue to do it.  They insist that taxpayers finance it in public unions then expect it to be tax deductible for their members to boot.  And no one should be allowed to opt out of paying fealty for the lefts political agenda, even if you disagree with it.  And if you try to suggest that is as unjust as my Exxon example, they threaten and intimidate you, and accuse you of wanting to hurt workers families.

Hypocrites!

So here's the deal.  Right to work removes the union mandate that forces you to pay dues.  It allows you to refuse to participate in whatever it is the union is selling.  You get a choice and you don't have to give up a job to make that choice.   And yes, the union should also be under no obligation to offer anything to you under those terms if you opt out.  That's choice.

So you might want to ask why the unions wanted to remove any protective language that would ensure that they did not have to cover or represent people who did not pay dues. Why would they do that?

They want to be able to demand payment of their monthly dues tax on every worker.

They don't want workers rights.  They never did.  They want fealty and tribute.

Right to work doesn't destroy unions nor does it hurt workers, it removes dues extortion--the mandated tax on your income for their agenda.  And if you want to pay it, you still can.  But if the Right to work veto is not overridden, you'll have no choice.  The dues extortion by Union bosses will continue for the poltical gaion one one party.  A process that no Other big business, could ever get away with.

Override the Lynch Veto.  Give workers real rights.
