Cynthia Chase Moved Here From Rhode Island – Recently

New Hampshire Democrat Cynthia Chase (Cheshire Dist 8) is getting a lot of press.  Her comments have gone viral.  While I'm happy to have played my small part, the benefits go a lot further; people are searching the original story, landing on FreeKeene,  Reason.com, coming across Dr. Tom Woods original report, even cruising over to GraniteGrok where the Breitbart story was sourced, which ended up on Rush Limbaugh.

And they are discovering that the same woman who views Free Staters moving to New Hampshire as a threat is herself a self-admitted, pro-Alinsky, progressive transplant from Rhode Island.  (Makes for a great followup doesn't it?)

A fan of the radical Saul Alinsky here to ruin the New Hampshire Advantage no doubt.  And the kicker?  She admits she has only lived here since 2006.

She does point out that she lived in North Swanzey in the early seventies, which would have made her 29 (ish) at the time.  So where did she hail from before that?  We are left to wonder but it was clearly not New Hampshire or she'd have included that in her Bio.

More hypocrisy from hypocrats.  Sweet!

I think it appropriate to point out that 1) I am not from here either-- I moved her in 1990, a refugee from the oppressive yoke of New York State and 2) she was essentially part of the progressive surge that came here over the preceding decade, some even pretending to be Republicans, intent on making New Hampshire more like Massachusetts, or is that Rhode Island?

Chase was not, we should ad, here all that long before she ran for public office.  It's almost as if she planned it that way.  To penetrate the institutions and corrupt them from the inside.  To force her worldview on the rest of us. Very "Alinsky" Ms. Chase.  Did Kathy Sullivan offer you a signing bonus?

I find this all very amusing.  And it keeps getting funnier.

Well, I'd like to welcome you to New Hampshire Ms. Chase, where politics is a full contact sport with no half-time and no intermissions.  I hope you are enjoying your brush with 'celebrity.'  If you were a Republican you'd already have been run out of office for making bigoted, xenophobic remarks tinged with police state like tyranny,  but since you are a Democrat you shall be labled the victim of some vast Right Wing Conspiracy and will probably get a parade.

Will Terie Norelli And The Democrats Try To Ban My Refrigerator?

I think it is appropriate to add this picture to my friend Susan Olsen’s post at GraniteGrok.  The one with the ‘Journalist’s Guide To Firearm’s Identification.’

It is a picture of my refrigerator door (left), modified by the manufacturer to accommodate an extra magazine capable of holding all manner of ‘lethal’ ordinance.  Soda.  Beer.  Water, in those earth destroying plastic bottles, paid for with a plastic card, slid through a device made of plastic, carried home in plastic shopping bags and yes…that fridge door modification is made of plastic.

And we all know how dangerous plastic is, and soda, and drunk driving, and yes that is beer.  And beer leads to all kinds of bad decisions including those of the relationship variety, which put a massive strain on the arc of our health care existence, and require the state to force everyone to fund contraception, and easy-outs for unwanted pregnancies, even if they need to violate religious freedoms to do it, because sluts vote before or after the beer (wine, hard lemonade, shots, or fruity drinks) and wake up hung over and bleary-eyed next to a Republican (Lord help us) with a little “RINO” in the oven.

If left to its own devices that little treasure will grow up and go to public a public school where no one but criminals will be allowed to carry firearms even if the Democrats manage to convince the other bobble-heads to ban assault weapons or any other sort, because the very nature of law breakers is to engage in the act or acts of breaking laws of which gun bans are but one.

And while some folks are nodding their own heads as the pols and talking heads banter on ad -nauseam for the immediate regulation of “firearms” they can neither identify, quantify, or describe, and whose use is less a threat than that claimed for obesity (evil soda) and alcohol (ruins families, friends, property, people, and lives), when the winds of crisis governance are blowing a different direction,  my refrigerator is as likely a candidate for further legislative oversight and regulation as anything else because it is not really about assault weapons or soda or even children.

If Democrats and liberals really cared about children they’d be against abortion which kills children.

This is about growing government and centralizing power and we have to excuse them their furrowed brows and chest pounding diatribes because this is a regulatory crime of passion and no one should be held responsible for what they do under such duress.

Not the best way to run a government.  But it is a great way to lose control of one.

So while my fridge magazine is fully loaded today, and my choice of ordinance is still up to me, the left has already made it known that they do not approve, and are simply waiting for a convenient Kodak moment of crisis to dramatize for the sole purpose of advancing the regulatory state, which they will then (by the way) insist that you pay for, no matter how far fetched their social math might be.

And even though the war against women would be better met by women less likely to have to ask what they would do if impregnated as a result or rape or incest, because an armed woman is much less likely to find herself a casualty of that front in the war, the left will insist that they make themselves victims because of real tragedies amplified to advance an anti gun agenda rather than to promote an agenda of self defense.

Have you noticed that these lunatics always end their assaults the minute someone arrives with the ability to apply equal or greater force in defense of life?  Imagine if they suspected for a moment that there were already people in that building able and willing to use equal or greater force in defense of life?

Democrats would be talking about something else, possibly obesity, or contraception, or abortion, maybe even about refrigerators.  But banning firearms would be waiting on the shelf for a suitable tragedy.  One that could only be lessened or prevented if perpetrators could not be guaranteed a force advantage, the same one that the same Democrats hope to give them and then some, if they are allowed to have their way.

So who needs a beer?

Is The NH House Ready for More Darth Norelli?

Lord Vader brooked no failure and punishment was swift and final. New Hampshire Democrat  Terie Norelli, as either Majority or Minority leader, has never been one to tolerate dissent either.  And while she’s not (to our knowledge) ever strangled anyone with the force, she has strangled their careers, used inter-caucus bullying and intimidation to bring them around or shut them down, ignored their ideas, refused to teach them, and even driven them from office…and that’s just the Democrats.

So anyone who ever thought Democrat leadership–all the way up to Maggie Hassan–was serious about this “can’t we all get along” here’s a smile and a coke crap the minute the microphones are turned off, has another thing coming.

 

Inside sources report that Norelli has already begun punishing Democrats who voted against her for speaker, removing them from committees and replacing them with people who don’t even want to serve in those seats.

I’ve got stories about Democrat reps who voted their conscience, and not that of Darth Norelli, and found themselves the object of caucus ridicule and intimidation; they were threatened with or lost seat assignments, parking spaces,  the latter while Norelli was minority leader.

When Lady Sith was speaker in previous sessions, Democrat reps have complained about being ignored by leadership, treated like outcasts if they tried to represent their own district and not just the lefty leadership agenda, and even run out of office.

Sound familiar?

Herding 400 House cats is not easy but it is part of what keeps New Hampshire more free.  So yeah, there is going to be some aggressive movement from leadership to try and get things done.  There are always going to be disagreements, hurt feelings, and conflict.  But  it takes a Democrat to pretend they didn’t do as much or worse, or that they’ll change their stripes if they coo and cuddle and spin some magic phrases.

The next two years will be not much different than any other under Norelli’s heel.  But the irony of it all is this.  The only safe place to be under Darth Norelli’s leadership…is probably in the Republican Caucus.

NH Democrat Terie ‘Scrooge’ Norelli – Fires Staffer weeks Before Christmas

Incoming House speaker Terie Norelli (D- Grinch), is taking heat for her abrupt termination of longtime House receptionist Betty Lichty.  Betty was apparently hired by Norelli back in 2006 and has worn out her usefulness in the position.  Perhaps answering the phone for Republican Speaker O’Brien for two years was more than Terie’s delicate constitution could handle?

Norelli is (of course) entitled to do whatever she likes with her staff though this is hardly the point.   If Speaker O’Brien had fired Betty just weeks before ChristyuleHanukwanzukkahmas we'd be able to count the veins in Norelli’s forehead at the endless stream of press conferences held to ensure the public was well versed in the evils of Republican leadership.

So quit your whining.  You fired a woman who is reported to be able, capable, and competent at her job, just weeks before the holidays, for no reason other than that you felt like it,  so at this point the only measurable difference between you and Ebeneezer Scrooge, apart from anatomy, is that come Christmas morning you’ll still be a selfish, hypocritical, thoughtless, partisan, harpy.

Terie 'Billion Dollar Deficit' Norelli Does Not Like The NH Budget

I can't imagine why disgraced former NH house Speaker Terie "Billion Dollar Deficit" Norelli would like the latest State Budget.  It lacks all the qualities she advanced as the most math challenged speaker in State history. 

It was written based on revenue we figured we'd actually have a shot at making, not money we imagined we had to make to cover excessive spending we could never hope to afford.  There is no laundry list of increased taxes and fees in it during a recession.  It does not rely on one time federal money.  No one is using last minute debt to pay for spending we cannot afford, so we can pretend the budget is balanced.  There is a concerted effort live within our means.     No future land sales estimates based on property no one has identified, at prices we could only guess at, are being documented as a "done deal" to hide a 60 million dollar hole in the "balanced budget."

And most heinous of all?  No new post-midnight, last minute taxes; passed on the last day of the session; under the cover of darkness; in violation of the state constitution; that the governor and most of the democrat party would later have to back-off of but whose repeal-under-duress they would actually have the balls to try and run on as proof that they do cut taxes.

All that crap was a staple of the Norelli tenure and the State Government under democrat control.  If we left them to their own devices we'd have a sales and an income tax.  We'd have a soda tax, even higher tobacco taxes, an LLC tax, and taxes on everything else.  This would all be on top of the current pile of taxes because remember--they needed the taxes to pay for more spending, not to replace old taxes.

We don't have any of that with the current legislature or in the current budget, which explains why Terie "Billion Dollar Deficit" Norelli really doesn't like the budget that much.  She actually said it was bad for the people of New Hampshire.

You know what is bad for the people of New Hampshire?  Terie Norelli and the New Hampshire Democrat Party, and don't you forget it
