Speaker Norelli come on!!!

"While such a bill may receive a positive response in the state Senate, Norelli said expanded gambling "has never received more than a minimal number of votes in the House, and, quite frankly, I don't see that changing."- Speaker Norelli.

Come on Speaker Norelli.

This is a website from a resort in Indiana. A Premier Resort and Casino destination. Sounds like economic development and tourism to me in Indiana. And here is the interesting compairson to New Hampshire. Compare the histories of the French Lick Hotel with that of the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire which also opened for business in 1902.

Compare the histories of both of these properties.

Now compare the policies of the states.

Indiana gets it while New Hampshire does not.

The quote above is from today's edition of the Manchester Union Leader Newspaper. The comment section includes a response stating to the effect that a "majority of the NH population supports expanded casino gaming over taxes.

Perhaps it is Speaker Norelli that just doesn't get it.

French Lick Resort, the Midwest's premier resort and casino destination, offers two luxury hotels on 3,000 acres of history and natural beauty. A $500 million renovation has recently restored and enhanced these famed and historic sites.

French Lick Springs Hotel - established in 1845 with the original current wing built in 1901, this classic resort hotel has now been completely restored returning it to its original charm and grandeur. It was here in 1917 that famous Chef Louis Perrin first created and served tomato juice. Famous guests include John Barrymore, Clark Gable, Joe Louis, Bing Crosby, the Trumans, Elizabeth Taylor, the Reagans and Joe & Rose Kennedy.
