Sands Bethworks Casino

Initially it was my plan to post these threads when I was at the casino. However, with all that I saw at this place including the City of Bethlehem I wanted to wait until I returned to New Hampshire. This is a shot from the upper level of the parking garage looking north. The Lehigh River is to my right as are the tracks of the Norfolk Southern Railroad. The blast furnaces which I think define this property are close by. To the left is new construction which I was told that had recently restarted after stopping in May. It is my understanding that these are going to be high rise condominiums and lofts and that with the planned addition of table games there is a market for this. I'm thinking that it would be similar to the Water Club which is adjacent to The Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The later is pure speculation on my part. The rest of the buildings in the photo are part of the master plan for redevelopment of this Bethlehem Steel site including a museum of industrial history by the Smithsonian Institution. But I'll discuss all this later on.

Why can't this be done in New Hampshire?
