So what exactly is the future of New Hampshire?
I think Governor Lynch knows the answer to this question.
But true to his experience and command of politics including a re-election campaign, a question as to whether this question even has to be answered to be successful in a fourth term as Governor. For some reason I’m seeing the smiling confident face of Josef Stalin at Yalta.
Right now I’m sitting in the opulence and the Romanesque spires of the main lobby at Delaware Downs in Dover, Delaware. The place is incredible it’s clearly at a peer with hotels like the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons. This morning when I arrived I saw the re- construction of the thoroughbred horse track to the rear of the massive hotel. From what I’ve seen this track will be better than the Kentucky Derby based Churchill Downs. It looks to me like the surface at Delaware Downs is going to be synthetic based from what I understand this type of surface makes for faster racing action and less injury for both the jockeys and the horses.
So what is Delaware doing?
Answer: Passed slot machines and more recently, table games.
The Delaware Downs is interesting because I think a facility like this has been proposed for Salem, New Hampshire as a part of Senate Bill 489 which is before the NH House.
This is not a discussion about legislation.
I’m simply asking a question what is the future of New Hampshire?
