Always A Bias.

In another example of flawed policymaking the legislature is now considering the reduction in the cigarette tax. Not that the regressive nature of taxation hasn't been mentioned it has.

And it shows that a historic bias in this state is alive and well.

Every news article about this debate talks about the Massachusetts border and what this tax reduction really means in economic terms. Of course they don't say anything about Canada and the states GNP on the basis of cross border trade with Canada. And why is this? Because in the grand scheme of things northern New Hampshire does not matter. It's the tax revenue from Massachusetts that matters. Flawed thinking and flawed policy.

Governor Lynch recently had a trade mission to Canada consider how much information has been released about all that was accomplished on this trade mission or at least proposed.
