"History and the task of the future no longer signify the struggle of class against class or the conflict between one church dogma and another, but the settlement between blood and blood, race and race, Folk and Folk. And that means: the struggle of spiritual values against each other."- Alfred Rosenberg.
So I'm questioning why former and Republican Secretary of State Colin Powell would make the endorsement that he has. My questions are if this is an endorsement on face value of the candidate or a slam against the president and adminstation that he once served.
It might be for other reason(s) as well. Quote from former NH Governor John Sununu:
"Well, I think when you have somebody of your own race that you're proud of being president of the United States, I applaud Colin for standing with him."
I'm always remembering Powell standing on the floor of the UN talking about things like how the Iraqi Army transported it's weapons of mass destruction demonstrating these cool looking tubes; I'm not a scientist but he explained how enriched uranium was "advanced with these tubes." I watching cable at the time and the camera just happened to pan over to the Iraqi Delegate to the UN looking almost white in disbelief. Later he would state very professionally that:
"Iraq has no weapons of mass destruction."
