Cape Airlines is offering a wallet busting deal.
$12.00 flights from Lebanon Airport to either Boston or New York.
This price won’t pay for one screw on the aircraft itself but that doesn’t matter here.
Because NH politics is involved.
Cape Air loses money because ridership numbers are way down at Lebanon Airport and the airport is now in danger or losing a million dollars in federal grant money for low ridership.
So Cape Air loses money on the flights the unused airport gets another federal subsidy and the City of Lebanon and Dartmouth University can have an airport.
Someone is getting screwed here and I don’t think it is them.
