Question: If the highway to hell is paved with good intentions what is the highway to heaven paved with?
The Answer: Deception, Treachery, Deceit.
I can accept this idea what I'm finding hard to accept is this whole holier than now attitude that seems to permeate NH politics.
Enter the Sununu political clan and their establishment supporting both Republican candidates for governor. Of course the whole ensuing attitude to the effect is "they're all good folks and all this is alot of fun."
I'm surprised they didn't say "if it isn't fun don't do it."
A reason to vote Democratic or at least in this governor's race.
I'm not going to waste my time or yours talking about Mr. Smith thus leaving the nice person from Manchester who is an attorney and also running for governor. I don't feel like spelling his name wrong just right now.
Does he take a position on anything?
And the strategy here does matter here which is why I see the democrats winning this race in November. Some effective fundraising, qualitative analysis and Boston area television advertising and a state electorate who largely believes incumbent Lynch is doing a quality job. The power of endorsement.
It's the Republicans race to lose this one. I'm confident they will.
Perhaps the Sununu strategists already know this and the game is really going according to plan.
Pave it right over.

This election will be about a series of bad choices followed by the two
years after that.
New Hampshire could do better than this.
Here's another tidbit I picked up on the internet tubes recently: Ovide Lamontagne has a stake in a law firm that's at the beckon call of the Northern Pass partners. Gee, I wunder if that will taint any batch of whisky he happens to push through the "thumper" should be ascend to the vain glorious title of His Excellecy? Let's see, I have these jigsaw puzzle pieces here: Govna', PSNH, lobbying, lawyers, money, campaigns, regulated industry, guaranteed rate-of-return, fat-cat salaries ... Dear me, how will I ever put all these pieces together?
