I'm going to make an early prediction.
That the fall tourism numbers come in higher than last year. This is clearly good for New Hampshire as it supports the all important: rooms & meals tax, tobacco tax, gas tax and generates revenue that supports the local tax base.
Lots of tour busses and leaf peepers.
The locals don't say it, but they're thinking it: "Leave your money and then go home!"
DRED has a role here, how important of a role, but it is apparent. DRED is responsible for marketing the state and getting tourists to come here. I'd have to say Ohio and the Canadian Provinces have been two of the main areas represented I'm sure the demographic regions are greater than this.
