“The finance enchains with golden bonds states and peoples, the economy becomes nomadic, the life uprooted.”- Alfred Rosenberg.
So the Senate will soon be considering whether to raise the gas tax upon the populace of the granite state.
Like all taxes the individuals that will be paying the taxes are the same people who have the least ability to pay the tax in the first place.
This is one way to clean out the NH ghettos.
Perhaps they can move into the new millyard walking condos in Manchester.
I’m actually having alot of trouble with this notion that state senate races can or will be decided by the vote(s) on whether to raise this tax. For instance, up here in senate district #1 I’m sure the vast majority of the nomads don’t even know who their state senator is never mind who is responsible for that increase in the pumps.
I guarantee that the federal government will get blamed for this increase long before the voting patterns of the state senate.
Senator Woodburn seems to be using the Ray Burton playbook on how to run a campaign: show up at every meeting with three people or more and send a photo of the event to the Littleton Courier.
It’s hard to beat this. No matter how uprooted life may become.
