There was an article in the Union Leader that I had to stop reading. It was yet another demonstration of the failed leadership that exists in New Hampshire at many levels.
The Conway Board of Selectmen is attempting to get their Conway By-Pass Highway Plan into the official NH "Ten Year Highway Plan." Good luck with that.
Meanwhile, Maine is trying to advance an east-west highway all the way to the U.S. Midwest, an ambitious project that would bring millions of dollars and economic opportunity if it is built. Maine is reportedly looking at a northern Maine via Quebec route to get this done.
Why couldn't this road go through New Hampshire, Vermont and then onto the Midwest?
The answer here can't be politics because it's more an issue of leadership.
