The Zelliff Effect

The special election for Executive Council District #1 is tomorrow. I'm not even going to try and predict this one. It's like trying to figure out how many sharks are in the ocean, or for that matter how many minnows might be there as well. It's a big sea!

I'm in Littleton now and I'll predict that Cryans prevails here. Lots of local connection and his campaign seems to be investing some time here unlike Kenney who seems to be shooting his bolts up north in Coos county say Lancaster and Groveton for instance.

But I still don't know what is going to happen. And I'm also confident that just because one of these candidates gets elected doesn't mean they're an automatic shoo in for the next election which is right around the corner. I'll close this out by stating my real disappointment at the endorsement of former Rep. Bill Zelliff for Cryans; I'm sure the former congressman and candidate for governor has his reason(s), but I think Kenney would have been the better route to go. I'm saying this as a resident of Grafton County and some knowledge of what goes on in Haverhill, NH.

I don't like the fact that Kenney has no private sector experience and has never met a payroll deadline. But I'm confident that he will closely scrutinize all state contracts that come before the EC and this is why he gets my vote.
