"Adjust our government and policy for the 21st century."-Sen. Marco Rubio
The interview with Florida U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio on WMUR covers alot of ground and generalizations.
Rubio speaks very well, very realistic and seemingly straightforward for a politician. I know this is reaching for alot. They talked about climate change, "Everything they propose (Democrats), will devistate our economy." Rubio said. I'm not sure how exactly this shakes out in reality I haven't heard the Republican Party proposing anything in this area whether it impacts the standard of living or not.
Though it's not official it looks like Sen. Rubio will be endorsing Scott Brown for the U.S. Senate Race in New Hampshire.
In any case if I had the chance to ask the potential presidential candidate a question, I'd ask about the continued growth of foreign trade agreements like NAFTA, GATT and the new one CAFTA. And whether it represents good policy for the 21st century to continue to implement these trade agreements and their impacts upon employment and tax base, especially in small states like New Hampshire.
