Not Allowing Anything.

This year I went to the 2015 Breeder's Cup. With the closure of Suffolk Downs the closest place to see any major horse racing action is where I went, which is the Saratoga Raceway and Slots aka The Saratoga Casino which is adjacent to the historic Saratoga Racetrack in Saratoga Springs, New York.

It's a very nice place. It has 1500 slot machines and table games both called video lottery terminals in addition to simulcasting, daily harness racing and restaurants, bars and a upscale type of hotel. And the place was very busy.

The same thing could be done here in New Hampshire. This Is Saratoga Raceway In 2015. The Same Thing Could Be Done In New Hampshire. The Politicians In This State Don't Want The People To Have Anything.

But it isn't and the reason is politics. On my last day at the retail salt mine I had an interesting conversation with on of my "regular" customers we talked about casinos and the various proposals here in the Northeast. We both agreed that the one in Oxford, Maine is too small. Then we talked about New Hampshire and especially the Lakes Region and how dynamic the area is especially with regards to tourism.

"The politicians in this state don't want the people to have anything." he said. After visiting Saratoga Springs, New York I'd have to agree with this statement.
