A Vision Of Jobs.

I've been writing about the Panama Canal alot lately. There are several reasons for this. The first is plain history. It was about 20 years ago that the very idea of enlarging and deeping this historic canal was first proposed.

It met with instant skeptisism and opposition. Both Maine And Massachusetts Will See Substantial Jobs From The Panama Canal Expansion. New Hampshire Will Get Nothing.

"It's too expensive, not enough ship traffic and it's not worth the immense cost."

Does this sound familiar? This is the common theme in most things New Hampshire. The difference here is that Panama stuck with it and now they will reap the reward, as will most of the civilized world.

The other reason(s) that I'm writing on this is related to the last statement. Both Maine and Massachusetts will benefit greatly from the Panama Canal but New Hampshire will get nothing.

It doesn't have to be this way.
