This is a shot that I got yesterday in St. Johnsbury, it's a historic grain elevator that has been there basically since the beginning of time.
To me it symbolizes where the jobs went and what has happened.
Starting in at least the 1890s the ET & HK Ide Company provided grain to a plethora of farmers not only in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont but the northern part of New Hampshire.
Today all this is gone.
It's interesting to hear all the presidential candidates talk about things like renewal and making America great again. It will be even more interesting to see what kind(s) of actual and realistic plans that they have to do exactly this.
I'm hopeful and skeptical at the same time.
If it's even possible to be both.
