Democrats call on NH GOP to return money from Indian Tribes

In a press release the NH Democratic party called on the New Hampshire Republican State Committee today to return $10,000 it recieved from the Mississippi Choctaw and the Aqua Caliente tribes in 2002. NH Democrats contend that the money was sent by directive of Washington, DC based lobbyist Jack Abramof who recently pled guilty to fraud, conspiracy and tax evasion.

NH Democratic party state chair Kathy Sullivan said in a statement that "New Hampshire Republican leaders have a choice: reject the culture of corruption and return the tainted money, or accept the consequences in November."
